| Both really.
Basically I like it when things are hard enough to feel rewarding not me running around in circles for an hour or two for a stick or something. But not so easy that it's ,go over and shoot a guy and
BAM

| In most of my playthroughs I kill enemies to sell their equipment, occasionally keeping some cool stuff I find. So in my opinion it's best to have Level-list integration for any weapon mod. _________________ - Can you figure it out?:

| I definitely prefer the hard way - with just getting the item it feels like cheating.
But, really? It means that I get two for one - a cool item and an adventure!
The Auld Grump - Finger of God was what came to my mind as well.... |

| Really depends on the weapon. To enhance immersion I added in a bunch of millenia's weapons as well as some others and gave them leveled list integration, to be found amongst enemies.
I have had other mods where items were placed in containers across the wasteland, but the worst is when people think they're being clever and place it in some random, indistinct corner of the wasteland and go "hurrr find it its a CHALLENGE". |

| I would rather have to work my way for a weapon than to just have it spawn at Doc Mitchell's kitchen table. Especially when I download 20 different weapon mods that spawn at the exact same place....at Doc Mitchell's kitchen table.

| I sometimes have mix feelings. I would like to find it right away before making a play through especially to try it out. But if it's an awesome weapon like say a Sig Sauer P220 then I'd wait to work for it. _________________ “There is nothing noble in being superior to your fellow man; true nobility is being superior to your former self.” Ernest Hemingway

| Depends on the mod, I prefer Mods to make you work for things. It's more rewarding if it's that way. |

| After an installation of any mod I need to test it. I need to understand is the stuff good or not. If it is good, I can wait and take this stuff when the time comes. And if the mod is bad, it should be deleted from my modlist. So, easy way I suppose. |

| Simple: Hard way. Earning the Item of the mods feels more rewarding for me. And having all the "new" items in Doc Mitchel´s house at the start is really boring and I start to wonder if Doc Mitchel is in reality a prospector or something. Although the trading prices of some "items" are way to high even for the Lone Wanderer or the Courier. _________________ |

| I am every immersion-oriented. I cant stand mod authors which simply place the items at the start of the game. I can take items that are placed a great distance away, but my preference is for mods to be placed in an environment that will provide a level of challenge proportional to the value of the item to the player. The mod should also be placed in an area that fits with its theme. |

| It really depends on what the mod is for, and the character i'm playing.
Sometimes it makes sense to have the mod/items from the start, others its more run to roleplay out the process of earning them. |

| To me, quests are quests, and item additions are item additions. If you're rewarded with gear during a quest mod, awesome. I've had (and I'm sure that everyone else) bad experience with mods where you just can't find whatever it is that you're supposed to be looking for because the mod maker didn't put in a quest marker or is too vague with their hints. You're lucky if the location is in the mod's thread so that you don't have to exit game (or at least I do, otherwise my machine is heavily taxed), open a browser, hunt down the walkthrough (if it exists), look at it, and then relaunch hoping that you read it right the first time. (I do use Fallout Fullscreen, so I can alt-tab. Like I said, I prefer not taxing my machine while running NV).
I'm picky about my player home. I don't want to go on a quest just to find out that I actually don't like it. Is it awesome that the mod maker created a quest? Yes. Don't remember who said it earlier in the thread (sorry! : ( ), but it would be nice to have both an instant option and a quest option. |

| Depends on my mood. Sometimes I'd like to complete some kind of a dungeon or dangerous area where are lots of enemies and traps, but sometimes I'm so lazy that I'd better just add desired item via console. |

| I've always wished I knew more about the Geck to make some edits to some great mods so that I'd be a bit more realistic/lore-friendly. Like you said, instead of having the items just added to doc mitchell or added to the front of vault 101 or just simply in a randomly located container it'd be nice to be able to make a short quest or add them to scavenging locations / leveled lists. So in general I like the need to earn a new weapon, armor or feature, in exchange of a badly placed roleplay breaking mod (of course all due respect to the work the mod creator put into his/her mod and then had the kindess to release it, for free.) _________________ |

| It depends on the nature of the mod. If its a weapon add-on then I would prefer to have it right away, that way I don't have to go through an hours worth of gameplay to discover, "oh this weapon has a crappy sound" or "this armor isn't compatible with my character," I like to know right away if I'm interested in whatever mod I'm downloading. If its a quest mod, then that's a different story. In that case, experiencing a cool story with unique challenges are what I wanted to get in on, and armors/weapons are an incentive. |

| I prefer the easy way, because I find it extremely annoying when I have to go through a long place to get an item. |

| definitely the Hard Way, unless I am just testing stuff. It's cool having to hit a small dungeon or quest to find the new weapon/armor/etc.
Although, though it's pretty easy to just add items by the console it lots of games, so there is always that option. |
