Out of curiosity I'm just dumping this here. Most of us have played FNV so many times that we may have completed every ending 80 times each. I suppose you might want to consider which option has the best future for the Mojave when you cast your vote. Personally I think that while the NCR option may prove most beneficial in the following 20 years past 2281, House would be the greater good in the long run, seeing as how his business genius and incredible leadership may just revive the economy, technology development, jobs and make America great again.

I could go with House or NCR honestly either one leaves me with a clear conscience. You make a good case about House though, his talk about looking for resources on other planets really makes you think he is the best hope and a man with the ambition and power to see it through. It also feels like a very personal betrayal to side with the NCR after investing with House. Thoughts like these make it hard for me to actually bring the story to a close, especially since I tend to get as involved as possible with any NCR I encounter.

im going with House because he loves vegas it is his home not just a piece of land to control or resource if it wasn't for him it would just be another ruin the bombs wiped out along with the dam so yes i believe it goes to house in my opinion.

I always liked the independent Vegas option, because it would then give the player the freedom to create their own head canon. I do see that it would be difficult for the devs and writers to make this actual canon as every courier is always different, so every Vegas is always different.

I have done all endings except for the House one. I just can't stand the guy. While many will see him as the savior of New Vegas, and think that he will bring back society / civilisation and peace in the wasteland, to me he is only a super rich egocentric and control freak. He may have saved Las Vegas/New Vegas from the bombs, but I think it was more so that he could save himself and keep his power, rather than to save people and the city.

Both Legion and NCR endings are quite similar I think, they take controls of the Mojave, and establish their domination by force, exterminating the other factions. While the NCR may seem friendlier and more peaceful than the Legion, they are actually more or less the same for me. They may not have the savage and violent ways the Legion has (NCR doesn't enslave people), but they are still forcing their rules by any means necessary (for exemple the Bitter Springs massacre), and actually I think the Legion is atleast honest in the fact that they doesn't hide their true nature, while the NCR kinda lie about their agenda.

So, I prefer the Independent New Vegas ending, because it gets rid of all those factions that want to control the wasteland and crush everyone who stands in their way. And also because it's the only ending that doesn't force me to be side with one of those factions.

The problem with New Vegas' endings is that most the factions you join depend on one man only (i.e. independent Vegas is ruled by the Courier, or Yes man. Anyone can kill the courier and Yes man would be happy to help him. Caesar's legion depends on Caesar.
Same thing with house. So to be realistic, siding with the NCR is probably the best choice for a long lasting Mojave.

Indie vegas for me to be honest. Sure I basically become a dictator and all that, but at the same time I do not become a tool of two armies that I just dont agree with.

NCR drain the land of its resources and then move on, leaving nothing but taxes and fascism. I mean getting we are flat out told that they dont deal with the Raiders and dont protect the roads for traders. Add to the fact that they are not the most tolerant of people either, and you got yourself a group of trigger happy dipshits that are going to destroy the land and impoverish the people.

Legions no better, but at least its honest about its dictatorship and cruelty. It keeps the roads safe, and establishes order between commuinities. Honestly they would be my go to choice to join, if it werent for the whole slavery, sexism, and crucify thing. Like if your playing as a male character your pretty much safe in the mojave from at least 2 of these issues, but then you got to remember Joshua Graham who was burnt alive because he failed Caesar. Also the rely too much on the old ways rather than adapt and improve themselves. So yeah, no thanks.

House. Where do I begin with the machine loving (literally), condescending, guy living in a tube? Lets see, hes one of those smart idiots because he managed to let Benny go ahead and steal the Platinum chip he spent so much trying to get, and Benny even reprogrammed one of his securitrons to take over Houses operation all under the guys nose. I acknowledge that House is an intellectual, Zero's jealousy alone showcases that, but at the same time the guy is clearly either losing it(which is likely) or just underestimates everyone he meets so much that he doesnt consider them the threat they are. But besides that, his whole layout of vegas letting the rich in and the poor out and ruling with an iron fist is wrong. He wants a totalitarian vegas, and if I am right about him slowly going insane than he is likely to turn on the courier at some point. Or worse, make the courier like him.

Indie Vegas may not be perfect, but if your a good guy courier you can at least hope that you wont be a complete monster as a leader for the mojave. Only issue I see is Yes man becoming sentient and turning against you. Then you are basically fucked, because in no movie ever has sentient machines not turned on humans. Also with vegas staying indie you can avoid being involved in any more legion Ncr bullshit. Also, I like to think Ulysses and I would rule Vegas together, as partners so to speak. Mostly because I dont think he is worth a bullet but he knows how the legion think, and thats useful seeing as I probably make a whole bunch of enemies as a result of cutting all ties with two armies.

That being said, I find myself more often joining NCR, just for the sake that cutting all ties with the NCR can cause me more trouble than I care to consider, seeing as their like one of the first main groups I meet when I start my mojave journey. Not that I want to, but because if its more convienent.

Independent, Becuse the ncr would just reap the land and head on and the legion just being savages.

@NeoSnow  I checked this newvegas wikia page while writing my post Though I'd like to know if you meant to agree or disagree with what I said on House. Did you mean that he could have survived no matter what because of him being RobCo CEO, but he still decided to try and save the city? (thus making him the good guy)
