""Blankets" By Craig Thompson. It's an autobiography/graphic novel of Craigs life, from both his earliest childhood memories, to his adulthood. It's an amazing book because most of it is relatable in every way. First love, the way our imaginations grow old and to be almost non existent, the responsibilities of adulthood and the care free spirit of being a child. The issues we face as children and the choices we make as adults, the way our minds think and act. It's very interesting and very beautiful.

I read a lot. I don't think I have a favorite book because things in my head are always changing, but one that I always recommend would be "Blindsight" by Peter Watts. _________________

I read a lot. Sci-Fi is my overall favorite. I rank Starship Troopers by Robert A. Heinlein as my favorite. Read that long before a movie was even a thought in someone's head. The movies have never done justice to the book. Heinlein was a true Sci-Fi pioneer and I first read his books in grade school. I enjoy books because you can create your own vision of what the author is saying rather than getting that vision from a movie. I like watching the movies, but I enjoy reading books more. Have probably read Starship Troopers over 20 times and am always finding something new or some nuance or symbolism that I missed the previous time. Just my Opinion!!!! Cheers!!! V/R MistTiger

My Bible. But if we are talking just for mindless entertainment, I always enjoyed the Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn series. Lesser known, but very awesome.

ColonelEwen, Although Heart of Darkness is not my all time favorite book, I rank it in the top ten. Conrad's symbolism is unsurpassed and really only becomes apparent after reading the book a couple of times. I consider myself fortunate to have had a college class where we studied that book and writing style for most of a semester. The adaption of the book into "Apocalypse Now" by Coppola is a fitting tribute to Conrad's dark symbolism. A true classic that is not for the lite reader. Just my Opinion!!!! Cheers!!!! To be honest, "A Farewell To Arms" By Ernest Hemingway is a personal favorite. Anything by Hemingway goes for me. _________________ We all have the power to SLAM-JAM in our hearts! Don't let DESPAIR take you over, SLAM JAM IT! |

Without a doubt in my mind I would have to say Metro 2033. (hipster post) I remember reading it before the game came out and it was so good. The author delves deep into the mind of man pushed to the brink (end of hipster post) Aside from that I greatly enjoyed 1984 Very good!

Not much of a reader but in school for English we had to read the Kite Runner. The novel starts off slow but in the end I really enjoyed it.
