I'm open to anything. It's been such a long time since I've properly read a book, and I miss the feeling of getting emerged into an epic tale.

Any books you'd recommend to someone?

PS: If anyone has read a decent book based upon the post apocalyptic setting, please tell me, I would very much appreciate it!

I remember "The Enemy", It's a zombie themed post apocalyptic book set in London, Where every adult/kid over 16 became a Zombie.

There's also "Poppy Factory", Drawing similarities between what soldiers faced in the aftermath of World War I and thier families, and how it connects to modern day conflicts.

These are just a few I've read.

Yes! Another book reader. Glad to see this. People at my school hate reading. It makes me bitter. Anyways, i can recommend James Patterson's "Gone" Great book! He's a wonderful author.
It's not apocalyptic like your heart desires, but it sure is a good read. I haven't even finished reading it.. (Guilty!!!

Chronicles of Narnia my friend, the very last book changed my life. These are truly great books and one of the best i ever read. If your in to unicorns,giants and other mythical creatures then this book is for you!

Yes man, there really good books!

The Outsiders. Its a short book but i feel a good book nonetheless

Death in the Devil's Acre by Anne Perry as well as In the Miso Soup. Great thrillers.

Conspirata,The Ghost Writer,Archangel all of these are by Robert Harris he is an amazing author. I would look into him and see all the other books he has wrote, Imperium is another great book it was really hard to stop reading because i got so interested in it and couldnt stop.

Look up the "Rouge Clone Series" by Stevin L Kent

Its an epic tail that spans 10 books.

Ok, so, I always highly recommend The Dresden Files. Basically, a snarky wizard PI battles supernatural forces in present-day Chicago and advertises in the phone book. Also he gets the shit kicked out of him like... all the time. Harry Potter for grown-ups.

It's REALLY good, highly recommend it.

Another series I recommend is the Culture series by Iain M. Banks. The series centers on the Culture, a utopian society of humanoids, aliens, and very advanced artificial intelligences living in semi-anarchist habitats spread across the post-material-scarcity Milky Way galaxy. Start with Player of Games. You can read them out of order because it's not one single storyline, they're all self-contained storylines in the same setting.

if you like WWII, I'd recommend Islands of the Damned by R.V. Burgin, I'd also read Generation Kill, A man named Dave if youre more into a persons internal conflict.

I am Legend is a great read if you want a realistic view of who the enemy of the new world is in a post apocolyptic setting.
The Road of course is another fantastic piece. All about humanity, and is very fallouty. I always describe it to my friends as the story of every NPC in Fallout.
World War Z is a fine story, not my thing in some places but it gets the job done rather nicely.
Hitchikers guide to the Galaxy, may not seem post apocolyptic, but it does follow the adventures of a layabout across the universe after the earth is destroyed...so maybe.
If your looking into comics, I would also recommend Y-The last Man

Post-apocalypse wise, there's "The End" by G. Michael Hopf. Washington got hit by a nuke, and the protagonist's area gets EMP'd, and things go further downhill from there.

Otherwise i'd recommend any book in Terry Pratchett's awesome Discworld series for both its humor and fine storytelling.

Metro 2033 series dude! Those books are so freaking good!

Agatha Christie's "And Then There Were None" is an absolutely intriguing mystery tale. Also i found "Tibetan Book of the Dead" to be very interesting too.
