So up untill Fallout 4 I always played Bethesda games as they are meant to be played (imo) on my PC. More specifically my now 5 year old laptop. I could play everything fine, even skyrim with some pretty thorough optimization but it just can't hack Fallout 4.

So I play it on the Xbox, but im having this bug where I get off exit the vertibird at start of the spoils of war quest, and when I do it keeps me stuck with the minigun when I land on the roof of the building. After this I cannot unequip it. I have reloaded from the save several times, and I have loaded from earlier saves and gotten back to the point and it equips it everytime. This is a file I have alot of play time on so I dont want to scrap it but nothing is working and I dont want an infinite ammo mini-gun because I like a very brutal fallout play experience not a light hearted kill everything one.

I wish so badly I could just console command unequip and console command equip something else but alas I am doomed to the console. I have a few mods that involve vertibirds but I have disabled them and tried and also after some research found that this has been happening on both consoles and pc since before mod support or the CK even dropped.

Pretty frustrating; if anyone has ideas I know this is pretty much one of the most elite Fallout communities so I figured someone may be able to offer insight. If all else fails how hard would creating a mod that gives you the ability to console command unequip the minigun be? I have never really modded before other than semi assisting on a port but mostly with just file arrangement so I am notsure how that would be implemented.

Any ideas or suggestions would be rad!

The only sugestion have is delete and resort to a new game this happened to me on my PC and i had to delete the save and create a new game sadly. I hope you do find a workaround though bud because it sucks to delete a save game with lots of time in it. All the best and CHEERS!

ugh yeah I mean I super hope I dont have to go that route. Like I know there is a mod currently that allows console players to resurrect npcs so enabling a console command through a mod is possible I just am not exactly sure where to start on that front. Hopefully someone on the forums here has conquered the problem through an in games means *crosses fingers*

Huh well I went out did some more quests came back and it stopped doing it but instead instant crashed after a few seconds of landing on the roof; ended up installing a mod that let me quick save while in survival after landing and upon reloading it seems I found a work around! Done a ton of quests and it seems like it is stable again! Heck yeah.
