The question is pretty simple, do you prefer viewing from 3rd-person or 1st-person while playing in Fallout New Vegas?

In most cases, I prefer using the 1st-person view because I have the crosshairs disabled by default...

Yup, it's an immersion thing...

But occasionally, I like to admire the armor my character has equipped, especially when that armor isn't vanilla. It's also a strategic point of view if you're ambushed by a horde of raiders and use the 3rd-person view to get a clearer look of where they're stationed at.

How about you guys?

First-person view when i'm in combat and exploring the indoors.Third-person when exploring out doors and when I want to look at my characters stuff.Almost the same reasons as you,thanks for the interesting topic!

I only go 3rd person when I want to look at my character.

Oh, I'm from the 1st person only in buildings,or with sniper rifle, otherwise I love admire my character from the 3st person 

I use a bit of both,however I do enjoy 1st person alot more with enhanced 1st person camera, a mod that lets you see your feet for more immersion.
As for 3rd person I also used a centered 3rd person mod.
So in the end if I had to choose I would say 1st person.

I tend to play in the third-person perspective with the camera over my character's shoulder (particularly with the character on the right side, much like the option available in Resident Evil 5 and 6) as the first-person perspective feels very dull to me. It's also that I tend to get a headache from watching the first-person perspective, unfortunately.

I also use immersive camera in first person, I would like to play in third person but i find it annoying at times and sometimes the aiming is off. I would get a mod to fix that but meh

I like first person, but i change from third to first every now and then.

i generaly prefer using third person because i like seeing my character and his armor that he has on,

but as you play in first person its more epic and more ssuspenseful for me but i end up usually using both lol

Always first-person indoors and third-person outdoors for me.

I like first person to get that survival realistic feel but sometimes I like to look at my character and give him a thumbs up.

I play almost exclusively in 1st person, partly because of the immersion but mostly because i prefer 1st person games to 3rd person ones, shooting, looting and exploring all feel better to me in 1st person and those are pretty much the whole game. XD

I prefer 1st person the most, mostly due to immersion as hitman47101 said. I only go into third person to see my character or take screenshots at key moments haha

I play 3rd-person almost exclusively. That applies to almost every game I play that gives me the choice. I enjoy being able to see my character in all of their gear and with their animations that breath some life to them.

I occasionally switch to 1st-person when I'm in a confined space, or if I need to take careful aim.

I usually go with 1st person with oHUD active so all HUD elements only appear when needed. Definitely an immersion thing for me. I will, however, switch to 3rd person if I feel like trading in my apocalyptic immersion for action-movie goodness melee fights in open spaces, or if I'm using a vehicle (motorcycle/ jetpack). Also, sometimes I just wanna admire my setup in 3rd person. Who doesn't?

3rd person, i presonally find the 1st person is to clunky. And also because the armour mod i have causes some visual errors when using enhanced camera

1st, 3rd looks "too fake" for me since the movements can be quite weird sometimes

3rd during combat and walking EXCEPT WHEN I GET STUCK ON THE BODYS?!?!?!?

I like always play in 3rd person. I love seeing my character and his companions so...
I've been used to playing games in third-person so why not, I'm not the biggest fan of first-person so might as well play in 3rd.
