| I don't use VATS as I find it much more challenging to get critical hits by relying on my reflexes and aim. As @pwninronan linked, I will be getting the Bullet Time mod once it is a bit more refined. I used Bullet Time in Fallout: New Vegas with the Project Nevada mod and would love to use it in Fallout 4. _________________ i7 4790k @ 4Ghz, 4.4 Turbo Asus Z97-AR Custom Liquid Cooling Patriot 16 GB (4 x 8 GB) 2133 @ 11-11-11-27 eVGA GTX Titan X @ Stock Samsung EVO 1 TB SSD - O/S Samsung EVO 1 TB SSD - Storage Seasonic X-1250 Power Supply Thermaltake Core X9 Chassis Samsung UD590 3840 x 2160 Windows 7 Ultimate x64

| 77 percent chance to hit 4 times, *misses all shots*. Sums up how VATS feels a lot of the time for me essentially. kek |

| I usually use it for enemies trying to get in my face like Ghouls. Their ducking and weaving doesn't help them so much when in VATS. Even though it's a glitch, using Mcreadys Perk bonus makes up for it's short comings in my opinion. |

| I like the new Vats. The new one is pretty fluent and bullettime-like. The old one just stopped your game and broke fluent fighting _________________ Nuka Cola. Nuka Cola never changes. |

| There is a new bullet time mod released today on the Nexus. The last one hasn't been touched in some time. This new one can be configured in game and works as an item, by assigning a hotkey to it.

Thought I'd let everyone know in case they miss it or are interested! |

| tbh I dont really need it for fallout 4 since fo4 became an fps. In nv and fo3 I needed it because the aiming wasn't that great in that old engine. _________________ |

| True. However not everyone have the twitch skills. Bullet time will help and seems cool. Especially when youre facing a horde of ghouls and want to feel like a badass taco bell mofo! |

| the new system makes it way to easy to kill people with being able to choose when to critical and stacking up your criticals. The old system you never knew when you were going to critical and left it up to chance. I would say without the critical stacking perks in fallout you didn't need it because they made it easy to kill shit now like an fps. The old system you needed vats because that shit was hard to aim lol. |

| I miss the old school random critical hit instead of this critical meter in VATS |

| @Evmeister Nice, the bullet time mod looks really cool. Hasn't it given you any issues? I personally like the new system better. It just makes more sense to me to have it in real time, although I can't deny that the old system feels somewhat nostalgic. I do prefer the random critical hits too though. _________________ |

Yeah, this is the one thing that bugs me about 4's VATS. I get that they want to give player's more control, but the crit meter is just so easy to abuse. Other than that, 4's VATS for me is a vast improvement over 3's and NV's to me. The time pausing always felt like cheating. I could actually stand for it to be a bit faster to make it more of a challenge to line up shots or less easy to abuse if there's a deathclaw in breath-smelling distance and I let him get that close. _________________ “For even if you should have stood your ground, he said, yet what ground was it?” Cormac McCarthy Blood Meridian, or the Evening Redness in the West |

| Since I started this thread, I have grown accustomed to the new VATS system. Thus have switched my opinion of it. However I agree with the critical system. I have only 1 or 2 points in the luck system and it seems to have lost it's purpose now. I haven't had time to try the bullet time mod but I think it would be very useful against Ghouls, or a nice compliment to VATS. |
