Fallout New Vegas feels more in touch with Fallout 1 and 2, while Fallout 3 has a great narrative.

I just like New Vegas better because it's so much more easier to jump in and out of than Fallout 3 in my personal opinion.

First of all I think I need to state that both games are great and each possess specific strengths and weaknesses. With that said my first experience of Fallout 3 was more enjoyable than New Vegas, mainly due to the story and setting. But with the faction system I believe New Vegas presents a greater opportunity to replay and experience something different. Therefore in my opinion Fallout 3 was the better game, despite the fact that I have played more characters in New Vegas.

Fallout 3 for the story.

New Vegas, but in general both
Fallout 3 for: The Pitt, Operation Anchorage and the History in general.
Fallout New Vegas for: All DLCs ( Dead Money in particular), the plot, reputation system, weapons mods system. The Atmosphere in genral, and the secondary quests.

I will go with New Vegas cuz it gives u that feeling of loneliness and serenity when u are out and away from major settelments in the mojave

new Vegas for its game play while fallout 3 has a better story i say fallout nv

I miss The Pitt. I visited Pittsburgh the other day XD

I like the story in FO3. It was more engaging. When I finally left the vault I felt more connected with the character I created. AS I played I become more and more connected and cared for the character and his/her development.

Fo3 is better by far because it's dlc's, story line, character story. How ever nv has a lot more utility content like hard core, casinos. But I still say fo3, the environment is so much better with all the government buildings to see in ruins.

I like FO3s story more but I like NV better. I'm not really sure why but I do.

I prefer NV simply because 3 wasn't made to run on windows 7 which I have...If it wasn't for that little detail I'd be playing 3 all day every day... I dislike compatibility issues and fixing them...I'm lazy.
Though for 1&2 it's different because I refuse to stop playing them...lol.

New Vegas has more content in the form of weapons and armour, but the map didn't capture the wasteland feel, though new vegas is still my preference.

Fallout 3 had more exploration than new vegas

I recommend taking the time to fix it whenever you get the chance. I fixed it a few months ago and it only took me 20 minutes and that's mainly due to me being completely brain-dead at the time. New Vegas has some better mods and more choices, but I'll always prefer Fo3's atmosphere.

Definitely Fallout 3, the game had a much more interesting story and it really felt that something happened. Exiting the Vault, you can tell even if you have never heard of Fallout that something really bad happened. No trees, no civilian life, and dust flying everywhere. In New Vegas there was just none of that.

I was really immersed in Fallout 3 and each time I play it I continue to find small bits that I've yet to discover. I haven't got quite the same feeling with Fallout NV but I loved it non the less.

I prefer New Vegas because it is easier to mod in my opinion, and I like the mods in New Vegas more than I like the ones in FO3. FO3 did have story going for it though, I loved how destroyed, desolate, and desperate the Capitol Wasteland seemed.

I like Fallout 3 it had a better story. As for Fallout New Vegas it is newer, but it's too orange. That's why I have mods.

i love the story behind fallout 3, but the combat feels so better on New Vegas.
