Which one would you be in a nuclear post apocalypse type situation? Be out in the wastes filled with radiation, or be in a vault and be experimented on? (Vault-tec Experiments)

There is an amount of safety in a vault, but staying locked in a cage for the rest of your life just doesn't have very much excitement.

Sure I might die in the wastes, but there would be so much to do out there. An entire world to explore, dangerous, but amazing at the same time.

Wastelander doesn't seem that bad, all the others are already raised and used to their environment. The only thing is that you should probably bring guns with you where ever you go.

I'd rather live in the Institute where it's advanced, but out of these two choices I'd have to say Wastelander. Being cramped in a psychotically controlled vault doesn't seem too appealing. Rather take my chances out in the wasteland lol.

Well, you might get lucky and score a good vault and have a happy life as a vault dweller. You might set out into the wastes from the vault and be a great person, like the Lone Wanderer. Or you might be born into a crappy vault and die. For the wastelanders, you might be born a tribal and live like one. You might be born into a gang, grow up with the fiends, join the NCR, have a brotherhood of steel life, or you might just be a wastelander that lives peacefully. Who knows what you would be? If you could choose which life you were born into, I would say wastelander, because I would be the great man to walk the wastes. But in the end, there's just too many possibilities to say which one is the best.

true i don't want to be a tribal lol maybe i would be a vault dweller if things go horrible you can escape if need be

I am going to have to choose the wastes, greater opportunity of experiencing more things and choosing your own specific path. Granted the wastes are quite treacherous, but would rather take my chances than exist in the vaults.

I wouldn't be able to handle being caged up in a steel box, the recycled air and same scenery day in and day out would drive me crazy and don't get me started on the messed up experiments i might be subject to. I would have to say Wastelander, sure its dangerous but it would also be exciting and at least you wouldn't have a boring life....or death.

The wastes wil be my home the Vault is for pussies and rich people if they want to stand thre boringly without doing nothing then fine but me im going to explore and live try to survive i may loose loved ones but i will be safer for them to go in to vaults for their safety or stay in the cities like my little brother but will survive i will protect em till the last breath i have

Wastelander! Of course. Vault shelters are really for cowards who cannot survive, and also for the messed up experiment many occupants faced.

Wastelander for me. I would take my chances arm myself and try to live in a town like Goodsprings. Rather die on my feet than take my chances in a vault experiment trapped with some overseer who could be some psycho.

Vault dweller here.  Fallout 3 was my first game in the series and right away I loved the concept of the vaults (at least, the ones that don't do the awful FEV stuff).  

My great irritation with Fallout 3 is how you get permanently shut out of the vault no matter how much you do for it.

I'm a realist and I do realize that I'm that type of person who prefers comfort over the endless bustle. Who knows what can happen while I'll wander through the wastelands. Maybe I'll get shot in the back just because someone will find my blue jeans fitting to his pink stylish coat or something (isn't that the purpose of the most players who kill innocent NPC's they meet?). So, that's there my bravery would end? But what if I run out of food? What is there's no energy left? What if this and what if that. If "what if" moment comes true, then...

you would be a wanderer but with a good base or an armoured van lol, would be quite dificult feeding and surviving if you never kept a food supply!.

I think that they should both meet up because they have got to be related somehow that would be absolutely amazing

you know it was the guy who made wasteland had a hand in fallout 1, wateland is practacly fallout with a difrent name!

I think the cooler meet up would be a random encounter with the guy from vault 77. That would scare the crap outta me but would be so cool! And even though wasteland came first, after I picked up new vegas I was suggested wasteland. awesome game even though it's a bit dated. Luckily wasteland 2 will fill my void!

I'd much rather be a wastelander. No way no how am I going to be a guinea pig for FEV testing. Vault 87 creeped me out.

Then when I get my head knocked clean off by a Deathclaw, feel free to loot my corpse.

I would probably be dead, but if I had a choice I would rather be free and roam the wastes, rather than be tested on.
