Wastelander.
I'd probably go insane confined into a small space such as a vault.

I'd have to say wastelander theyre is just so much more in terms of freedom compared to a vaultdweller. You are after all locked in a vault. A wastelander may see fit to save or destroy the wasteland at his/her pace. While the vaultdweller will have to deal with leaving the vault before they even get a chance to see the sun.

Wastelander, I personally would love to be able to explore, and gather, being a vault dweller wouldn't give that sense of freedom.

Wastelander. All day. Of course the perfect scenario would be, to live as a wastelander with your own secure vault/bunker to go home to. A safe place to sleep and horde all of your loot.
But either way, wastelander for me. No way I'm going to live in that type of world under somebody else's rule.

Wastelander for sure, being cooped up in a Vault with a ton of other people for life isn't my idea of fun. The Wasteland may be hostile and rough, but at least you have freedom to go where you want and do as you please.

Provided it was one of vaults 3, 8, 15, 76, or another somewhat 'normal' vault, being a Vault Dweller wouldn't be so bad. Beats having to drink irradiated water and risk getting killed by a raider when you step outside every day.

I'd go with Vault dweller as well, mainly the same reasons plus bigger chance I could become a tunnel snake because you know Tunnel Snakes Rule!

I'm abit of a claustrophobe, so i'd have to go with Wastelander, with a good gun and reliable armor, i'd have a fair chance.

Wastelander because i love exploring, shooting people and finding new things.

Wastelander. I like to live dangerously. Also nobody tells me what to do !

Wastelander off course because we can do anything we want in the wasteland : found our own community, explore places that we want, recover stuff that we hope to have......
Vault dwellers are definitely settled in a safety place but under the command of a supervisor they can't do anything without his permission.

Vault dweller , you might not know alot but there is a higher chance you waont be mutated or dead....

Why not both?

I would like to live in one of the vaults, but once in a while I would go outside.
Of course only with a massive power armor, that i´ve built in the vault.

I would easily have to say Wastelander. No way would i want to be experimented on. I would rather risk exploring the wastes than be trapped in a vault underground. In some ways, living in a vault would end up being more dangerous than being outside. What with tyrannical overseers and crazy experiments and systems failing, it would probably kill you faster than the wastes.

I would rather be a wastelander than a vault dweller, if you're a wastelander you get to go exploring, adventuring, you get to build your own home with whatever features you want. Also you get to meet new people, instead of seeing the same people all the time, and the wasteland gives you more of a challenge as well.
I wouldn't want to be experimented on in a vault either, that would just be horrific!
