| Have you ever heard of H.P Lovecraft? The greatest horro writer of the 20th century, his massive collection book ''The full Anthology of H.P Lovecraft'' contains all his stories who are filled with mystery, occultism, unkown horror and absolutely deep lore which takes you to the darkest depths of humanity that you have not seen before, his writings are A MUST read for every book reader, ever. I also recommend ''The Hour of the monster'' by Patrick Nes. A great horror story aswell. |

| I do love nineteen eighty four by George Orwell, not the longest book, about 300 pages, but still a great read. |

| Hey! hopefully not too late to the party On a heartbeat I'll recommend Robert Fisher's "The Knight in Rusty Armor". Lovely story, but short and thus, not exactly what you're looking for... So i'll just let this over here and wish you luck QuQ/ - I hope it helps ha!:

| I don't know if you are into horror stuff, but that's mostly the only kind of book i like to read. I could recommend you a ton of good books from known authors such as Stephen King (obviously), Dean Koontz, H.P Lovecraft, etc or some less known authors like karl edward wagner or w h hodgson (not many people know thet lovecraft was influence by him), instead of that i'm gonna recommend you a book about my fav horror writer since ever... Clive Barker of course. I know that he is very popular these days, but he is just so damn awesome. The book i would recommend without hesitation is "Imajica". Imajica is like the best book i've ever read. I found fascinating how Clive develops every single of his characters in a different way, without making the usual mistake of many authors who let their characters penetrate their own mentality in a very excesive way, causing a shit ton of clones with different names and stuff (Dan Abnett, for example). And it's just not only in the ways they think, it's also in the ways they understand the world. You must read it if you haven't, seriously., that if you want to spend several days inmerse in a single very interesting narration of travels and internal-external personal discoveries. Also i would recommend you "Hellraiser", but it is less than 220 pages, so... - P.S:
Read Imajica!

| Not sure if this is an obvious one, but I'm about halfway through the 'A song of ice and fire' series by George R.R Martin (Game of thrones novels basically) - I find it a good read, and it's quite long so it might keep you occupied for a while. |

| Not sure if you're into Star Wars novels, but I quite enjoyed the Revenge of the Sith novelization by Matthew Stover. In my opinion it handled the plot miles better than the film it was based on.

| If you're into dark, grim, high fantasy novels and stories about assassins then boy do I have a treat for you. The Night Angel trilogy written by Brent Weeks. Three books — Way of Shadows, Shadow's Edge and Beyond the Shadows. All three are about a boy named Azoth as he struggles to become the ultimate assassin under the tutelage of another assassin whom I won't name as I don't want to spoil anything. Brent Weeks is an excellent writer, and this trilogy of fantasy novels will have you begging for more every time you read it. I stayed awake reading more and more even though I knew I should've been sleeping.
Isaac Asimov is perhaps the most prolific science fiction writer of the 20th century. Honestly I've enjoyed everything he's written. Specifically The Gods Themselves, Robots and Empire, Nightfall, The Positronic Man, Robot Dreams and Nine Tomorrows.
Philip K. Dick is another favorite author of mine. Having written classics such as The Man in the High Castle, A Scanner Darkly, and Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? _________________ |

| Metro 2033. The book is absolutely astounding to read, especially after playing the game. You can tell how much passion the guys at 4A took with trying to recreate the experience of reading it.
Deffo worth a read for any Metro fan. |

| U could try reading Dune its a pretty cool book taking place in the really far future like 10000 A.D. or something. The plot is about a boy named Paul Atreides, son of Duke Leto Atreides, who's destiny is to become the Kwisatz Haderach or the "super being" the savior of the Fremen Nomads. |

| Just went and grabbed something off of my shelf until I found something appropriate.
"Scythe" by Neal Shusterman was enjoyable, around 430 pages, and had a pretty interesting premise. Human society has advanced so far that death is no longer an issue. This, however, is a problem in and of itself, since people still need to die, so designated officers (Scythes) go out and "reap" selected people. It is quite good from what I remember, but maybe just because I was having some bad luck with my picks last year when I picked it up.
Side note: although they've garnered a reputation for being quite advanced, I recommend all of Tolstoy's work, he's brilliant and totally approachable. I was 15 when I began reading his work and I fell in love. Check out "Anna Karenina," it was my first and favorite by him. _________________ Be wary, or become a lonely boy. |
