Hello and salutations and greetings and umm, hi.
Just to start off, I just found out this place existed today! I am looking to mod my New Vegas game and the modding list referenced a mod that was found here. Upgrades of/from the Commonwealth, I believe.
So, well I am glad to be here and I hope to contribute some of my gaming knowledge as often as I am able.

I am in my late 40's and have been *gaming* per say, since the late 70's, in some form or another. Tabletop and older consoles all the way up to and including modern PC behemoths and current gen consoles.

I like to read, A LOT, I like to walk & bike with my wife & children in parks and nature trails. I like to run table top D&D/GURPS/Pathfinder games. I do like to play as a character, every once in a while, but I like having the power too much, so I'd just as soon GM. I also like to (video)-game, when life and kids and wife permit.

I spent quite a few years traveling the globe, both for leisure and work. My wife is Eastern European and tall and blonde and gorgeous.
I am a Network Admin by trade, currently and have several Bachelor degrees.

Hmm, I hope to one day get up enough nerve to run for a certain high level office.

Side question: What's your opinion on the new/upcoming FO: Miami? I'd be interested in hearing your opinion of it. Yay or nay?
I think, and it's just me, I think the location is going to be a bit meh...I've been to Miami... I found that it looked good on postcards, not so much in real life. But, like I said, that's just me and my opinion... =)
(Perhaps an island Fallout, Japan or one of the South China seas Islands...so much epic looking scenic points there. I am thinking along the lines of the island from Crysis. That island in a Fallout setting...I think it would be treacherous as just about any place, cept maybe the surface of IO...lol)

@Mereinid - welcome to GUN! Aspiring to a high office, eh? Best of luck in that one, but since politics is taboo on here...nice to have you. You'll find everyone here is friendly and helpful. You might even find a few older than you (I'm not naming any names ). The point is, all are welcome here and there are many here who enjoy FNV as well as very knowledgeable about modding it. There are very good mods here for that particular game. Make yourself at home and enjoy!

Afraid I don't know enough about FO: Miami, but it looks promising to me. RL Miami, not so much.

Welcome Mereinid! Glad to have you with us! Glad to have someone else who grew up with the older consoles and computers. My first console was a Atari.
