@CrackBabyJoe Old World Blues is one of my favourite DLC's)) It's like try to live without heart, spine and brain - with one purpose - find them and put them back to my body)))

I actually liked Dead Money quite a bit, but not for the reason most people would think. I love it because it's a pain in the you know what, but the dozens of gold bricks at the end makes it seem like it was worth the journey. I certainly wasn't the best DLC, but it had an interesting back story and some solid loot.

I really hated some of the gameplay aspects of Dead Money, mainly that fucking bomb collar that only serves to make every goal more tedious to accomplish, but on the other hand; the story, characters, and themes were all extremely well-done.

I also enjoyed the sense of my character being a lot more vulnerable than she usually was, having to get by with fewer supplies and less effective equipment to help her survive against the dangers of the Sierra Madre. Of course, it's still deeply and fundamentally flawed and I consider it to be the worst of the New Vegas DLC, but at least I still got something out of it.

I liked the whole point Of The dlc go through all that shit just to have to leave most Of The gold behind, to "let go"

Nah man and from time to time I see posts like this around , there are quite a few people out there who really prefer Dead Money over the other dlc's just because of that feeling of being self found with supplies and restrictions I myself play all dlc's like that on hardest with some mods to make it even more interesting for fun purposes of course.

But the reason you might not see so many people around who like it is because it is quite different from the other dlc's and asks to improvise a lot and it can maybe seem somewhat unforgiven at times , and well if the majority hates something then it can make the minority fear of expressing their honest opinion about something.

@LukaTheJawa you are seem to be right about this, just for me i didn't link some items, i just played it because for more level-ups and abilities, and just for ending this nightmare.

@Sentra i rescued them all, i contemplated killing dean as he probably would have deserved it, let god take-over dog, as personally i think he'd be less dangerous to the wasteland than dog with dog most likely eating any survivors he met without Elijah to stop him doing so

@PsychicKaiser but rescuing God grants Bad Karma, neither Good Karma after rescuing Dog.. I cured him, and destroyed God's personality in Dog..

@Sentra karma is just an indicator of what choice you made, even though rescuing god was granted with bad karma, the ending slides you're told that he eats whole villages of people

I loved it. I like the idea of your character being forced into a situation where they must struggle in order to survive. Some people really hated that they lost their gear, but to me, it was actually just a way to make it more difficult, I mean, imagine just easily blowing ghost people away with a AM Rifle and 50. explosive ammo? Way too easy.

I liked the premise a lot too, an ancient casino, steeped in legend and myth, with a blend of wonder and horror, built as a gesture of misguided love and ambition. The idea that all the characters in one way or another are trapped by it was also such a great story element. Dean was obsessed with getting Sinclair's fortune, Christine was obsessed with her mission, Dog was trying to replace the void left by the destruction of the super mutants, a need for a master and Elijah was trapped by his greed and lust for power. The whole idea of letting go was so strong throughout. I mean, who didn't try lugging every single gold bar out, regardless of how insane it seemed.
I thought, as far as a story, it was probably one of the most intelligently written and well executed DLCs of any Fallout.

Nope you're not alone. It was the first DLC I played it I found it creepy as all hell. I remember walking to get the first companion and having no idea what was happening. I then remember this strange thing walking all jerky and stiff around a corner before vanishing behind a wall. It was at that moment that I briefly regretted going the the Sierra Madre. But after that I loved it. The feeling of danger around every corner, the small group of survivors at each other's throats, the horrific monsters in creepy suits. Man that is a great DLC. I enjoyed how it expanded on Father Elija's story mentioned by Veronica as well, and how it gave all those good foreshadowing hints to the epic meeting between Ulysses and the Courier. That DLC, just like all of them are fantastic in their way of storytelling and by the way they add content to the game.

I thought it was alright, I didn't love it but at the same time I didn't hate it either, would say Old World Blues was my favorite Fallout: New Vegas DLC.

I love all the DLC's on how much lore they give and only Honest Hearts was lacking in fun quests.
