| So I'm kind of addicted to making homes in geck (sadly the Betty Ford clinic doesn't handle geck addictions) Anyway what do you like in your player homes, do you even use a player home? Do you prefer your home to be a large base or a small hide away. Do you like for their to be quests involved and or what features do you look for? So lay it out on the line I'm interested to see what people like and why. |

| I have a bad habit of "hiring" just about every companion I can, so I tend to need lots of room for companions. I have had to spread them out between several homes/bases at once. A good size armoury with a sorter is nice as well. |

| I like to have a few containers where I can store my weapons and armor, as well as a lot of space for companions. _________________ "Nail me to my car and I'll tell you who you are"- Spoiler:

| I'm beginning to wonder how many followers the average user uses at once. I normally only use one a time. If people tend to use multiple followers this would explain why larger homes seem to be so popular. Hmmmmmm I'll have to think on that. |

| I usually one use one companion at a time though like you I play with AWOP and hardcore. I usually either have willow with me or veronica. Sometimes I just like to go it alone. |

| I can tell you what i don't like easily. This doesn't apply to everyone, since i typically play with few or no companions but: huge empty rooms that don't serve much purpose. I encountered a number of player homes that just went for pure scale. But, without much content, huge rooms just feel empty.
I prefer my homes to be cozy. If a home has a huge room, then make sure that it isn't just "dead space".
As for what I like: Display space in places that aren't "just display areas". Confused? Well, I don't really spend huge amounts of time just wandering through a display area. I like to display my gear in places that I frequent in my homes (Bedroom, workspace etc). It really makes a home more personal to see that unique modded weapon above your mantle. Dedicated display areas are cool but I never really frequent them unless I'm either adding something or there is something else to do there.
I've always liked homes that have secret storage space too. The FO3 home Firefly Ranch has some cool examples of this. _________________ "The only legitimate use of a computer is to play games." - Eugene Jarvis Don't like user signatures? Hide them with my Signature Toggler Script!

| Portability. I never use fast travel, so lugging stuff home can be a real pain. But with portable homes you can bring your house with you wherever you go. That is why my favorite player home is the Portable Tent mod. You can set it up in any exterior location, and then when you want to move on just pack it up and carry it with you. |

| I like a house that isn't to big or small
If it is to big than it feels empty and most usually have rooms with no features in them
If it is to small than it feels cluttered and worthless
My favorite house mod i the secret bunker mod which is still in development but I like the location and the overall layout of the bunker as well |

| I'm one of these commonwealth characters ingame that prefers his own palace. It's quite big, considering the fact it's a citadel on a floating island, a flying fortress, lol. I haven't gotten into adding it to New Vegas yet, as I have several tilesets added in OB. Consider it a gov't mansion if you wish, filled with palace guards and all that. But yeah, I like a variety of different safehouses and settlements whenever I'm not in my grand palace. Sometimes I prefer to store all my items on my pelicans, other dropships, etc., anything that is mobile for the ideal traveling through the wasteland. Though the only bunker mod I like so far is HARES. It's bigger than Vault 101, that's for sure. EDIT : Also, I ask that you don't attempt to build Grand Parliament for me. That is my home, my flying fortress of awesomeness, and it will take you a VERY long time to build. I will build it on my own, with my own tileset of course. Though if you do want to add some settlement or base for my characters, I'll make a few SKMC/STAG posters for that home and send them to you if you wish. Though considering it if I ever do allow access to players in my castle, I'd create a VGU lounge too. _________________ "Some men just want to watch the world burn." -Alfred Pennyworth**Screenshot story-arcs on hiatus until further notice** |

| Thank you for everyones comments thus far. I find it interesting that by and large people use multiple companions at the same time. This is definitely something I'll factor into my thought process. |

| I just wanted to add this, I DO NOT use any kind of companion. What I always love to see in a player home is some kind of armory for both vanilla and modded guns. _________________ I have no idea what I'm doing.

Interesting no companion huh. When you say armory do you mean an area that you can store ammo and weapons or do you mean a place that displays you're weapons kind of like the armory in UNVH? |

| I very much prefer displays for various collectables. As some have said I use a "mobile" home (Mobile Truck Base) and like a home that works as a solid base of operations for the stuff that you wouldn't carry with you all the time. Surplus stuff, Uniques, excess companions, etc. |

| Personalization, proper specific sorting (Pistol cabinet, melee cabinet, rifle, light armor, heavy, ect.), GOOD furniture (Stonehaven is a perfect example) and locationlocationlocation.
The best house I've found is the Stonewall Safehouse from the Rockwell Pursuit. I took that and added in resources from the Baja Island Home and Stonehaven, renamed a bunch of the cabinets to suit my needs and now it's one of the best houses. Plus, it's right behind scorpion gulch, located way up on a hill. _________________ |

| I agree with Druuler. I horde companions like an 8-year old girl from the 80's horded care-bears. Seriously. Too many. I'll probably gather them all up and get a screenshot of the sheer number of companions I have. So yeah, A large building or bunker with plenty of room would be great. _________________ - Can you figure it out?:

| Shoot and to think i normally find bringing companions around to be a chore. I never make homes large enough to hold more than 2 or 3. |

| I like having categorized storage for my items. Small arms here, energy weapons there, etc. I also enjoy displayed items, like seeing the food and drinks I have scavenged put onto shelves and what not. |
