| So there a bit of speculation going around, or rather an opinion, that if far harbor is bad or even just average then they are just done with fallout 4 as a whole. I personally am waiting untll some more quality quest mods come out before I even consider going back to FO4, however I would like to know what you guys think. Is it going to kill FO4 if far harbor flops? |

| It is for some people who see the DLC as the only redeeming act for Fo4. I'm hoping that it will be good and everyone would enjoy it but if it would flop, then its okay for me since modders could change a dlc in some way for example honest hearts reborn.Though it didn't change much but its sort of improves the general experience. |

| Nah, Bethesda went light on dlc and updates on Fallout 4 so far, bcuz now that the creation kit is out and open they're going to wait and see what the fans really want in the game.
Just look at vanilla Fallout 4, the new features were just taken from mods released on skyrim/new vegas/3. I gotta say dealing with fallout fans on my site/dA the entire community is broken up between the old school fans(fallout, fallout 2, fallout bos) who rage about factions/monsters/lore/stimpak addictions lol, the rpg fans(fallout 3, new vegas) who argue over factions/lore/storylines/silent protagonists and the new age fans(fallout 4) who're new and happy to be apart of the ride.
i say even if For Harbor flops in the eyes of some, the new guys will still love it, bcuz its add ons for fallout 4, and knowing bethesda they'll do some type of fanservice dlc laterz to win people over again
like bring back enclave *coughcough* |

| Really for me it's not gonna matter if the actual story or DLC itself sucks for Far Harbor, but from it you know we are going to get:
New Companions New Weapons New Armors And most importantly, new assets for new mods.
I can't wait to see what people do with the stuff from Far Harbor, and with the CK out in general now, were going to see a huge influx of quest mods and other mods that weren't available over the past few months. |

| @outerwavezEven if the lore isn't exactly 100% I still gotta say for what it gives, it's definitely been an awesome experience.... and this comes from a FO1 vet. A lot of people dogged on Automatron, but since it was pretty much filler content anyway as far as quests go... real meat being behind the robot building... I gotta say I feel it was worth it. WW can go die in a fire however... curious to see if Far Harbor can live up to previous DLCs though since this one intends to be a full-sized one. Will it be Operation Anchorage-quality, or will it be Dead Money-quality? Worst case... will it be Horse Armor DLC-quality? Only one way to find out... _________________ |

| It is too soon to say whether its going to be a flop or a success. An example can be from the Automatron dlc. Everybody thought it was going to fail or wasn't going to be good enough etc. But it turned out just fine and it was a good addition to the game. Wasteland Workshop on the other hand, not so much. Nobody knows much about the dlc. As for the rumors and some leaks, it's still not saying much at all until Bethesda releases more information and/or a trailer. So until then we can only wait. I for one think its going to be as good if not, slightly better than Automatron. But one thing I do hope for is that Bethesda continues to release dlc like in Fallout 3. |

They said the Season Pass price has increased to 50$ because they plan to add more to it than just these three dlcs so far. How much more is the question here. |

| The have to really blow me away with this dlc or we have to get lucky with mods as the dlc of even skyrim was better than this. |

| I wouldn't say make or break, but it definitely needs to be better than the previous DLC's. Right now, I'm glad I didn't buy the season pass. _________________ |

| I know that everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but the amount of negative feed back Fallout 4 has gotten since its release, is a little ridiculous. I believe actual Fallout fans, are gonna play Fallout 4, regardless of what the DLC brings to the table. The ones that are hoping that DLC will "fix" the game, are gonna still be disappointed with it. To those comparing dlc between elder scrolls and fallout, still gonna be disappointed, just because it's almost unfair to compare the two games. The Elder Scrolls has sooooo much more lore written into the story, it's universe is much more developed, in my opinion, because it's fictional. I think as far as lore goes, the Fallout series can only do so much because it still based on a non fictional setting, i.e., the United States. I will play Fallout, regardless of what the DLC brings to the table. If Far Harbor is gonna be as big of thing, that Bethesda is hyping it up to be, you know it'll at least be decent. _________________ "they asked me how well I understood theoretical physics. | How can Fallout 4 even be killed by adding more content? If they say Far Harbor is the biggest DLC they have done, then let's wait and see before we all split our opinion out. Thus, I ensure you, no matter what, people are going to complain, and I am afraid that's how things are going to work so why not see by yourself instead of hearing other's opinion. Sorry if I sound a little bit aggressive as I ensure you I was not intended to do that. It's just I have seen too many people start talking even before the thing comes out. |

| Will it kill Fallout 4 or Bethesda? No, will it make we the customers less apt to pre-order, or purchase their products in the future? That is the real possibility, when you have a company as small as CD Projekt Red with their Witcher 3 that have for the most part done it all right, from patching in content they didnt get to put in due to time ending before launch calling it free DLC, to free DLC as a thank you to its customers, to its DLC so far actually being actual full flushed DLC, to even small quest feeling as epic as the main story. They set a new bar of expectations for the consumer, they did it with less staff, less of a budget, and making their own engine than Bethesda did with Fallout 4. If Bethesda does not deliver it will damage their reputation but enough to kill them off no. It is why The Witcher III stole game of the year hands down.
Fallout 4's DLC so far has been very weak and short for the asking price, not to mention the workshop feels like they went over to the nexus took modders ideas, used many pre-existing assets then charged for it, making it feel like Horse Armor 2.0... The other big disappointment so far with 4 is Obsidian really did lots with Fallout New Vegas, maybe not in flushing out the world as much as they could have, but in terms of content, easter eggs, mechanics, silly side quest they went above and beyond Bethesda.
Far Harbor will be Point Lookout 2.0, I have been to that part of Maine, Bar Harbor. There really is not much there, a small fishing/lobster town smaller than the size of the Goonies movie town, no pirate ship legend nothing but trees for and rolling hills/mountains for miles as you go more inland. Not really much special about that place, add in a mutant/ghoul whale like a Moby Dick, some fisherman ghouls, a few evacuation points, maybe some vaults, and yeah there you have it... the town of far harbor... Trust me the coolest thing is the lighthouse and the mansion on an island.... Its a nice place for a nice vacation away from it all, have the ocean close by, go out to eat sea food, enjoy the little mini town and the park. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2016-02-17-fallout-4s-far-harbor-expansion-is-based-on-a-real-place
But my main point will the weak DLC kill Fallout 4 or Bethesda? No. Will it hurt sales in the future if they do not step up their game? Yes that is the likely thing to happen. _________________ AAA Environment Artist & Modeler, US Army Combat Vet, Full Sail University Alumni

| I hope Far Harbor is at least decent. I'm not expecting anything amazing. Automatron was pretty good, but workshop was a complete waste of money. Just going to have wait and find out if Far Harbor is worth it. |

| Honestly,If far harbour doesn't deliver i am going to be severely disappointed in fallout 4 as a whole,While it is too early to even to begin to predict how good/bad it is going to be,I would like to share my thoughts on the whole "make or break" thingo
I do like the concept it looks quite cool (from the promotional art,Not to much to go on) and i also like that there getting ambitious with the DLC,and i hope they deliver on there promise of making a huge map (Or what ever its called) populate it with some wacky and well written characters and i'll all aboard the hype train,If it does turn out to be good i think this is where fallout 4 gets turned around and some quality stuff will get pumped out like things rivaling mothership zeta, point lookout and old world blues.
Though if it tanks i really think the fallout name will be tarnished(seems a bit overly dramatic but i don't have another way to word it),While fallout 4 was good,It wasn't the squeal many hoped and i think if they release a lack luster DLC many people will become uninterested and stop playing 4 in general
So yeah, with out me rambling on anymore and making a fool out of my self with my many typos,Yes i do believe far harbor is make or break for the fallout series as a whole as automaton and wasteland workshop have just been DLC's that could have been modded into the game with the GECK (my Guess would be,that may be one of the reasons why they released it so late) _________________ - Sassy The Sasquatch 2012- My Achievements:

| Well, seeing as it's based on Nick Valentine I'm looking forward to a decent story at the least. There's just something about the character that makes me actually want to keep him around. |

| For me personally, even if Far Harbor is a bust and isn't what we expect, i am in no way going to be done with Fallout 4. even if Bethesda can't give us what we want, i am sure the modding community will. From what i have seen put into F:NV and FO3, i have no doubts in my mind that our community as a whole will redeem this game and make it everything we want.
On another note, i think Far Harbor is going to be a fantastic DLC from what i have been seeing. At the very least, it'll add a lot of useful assets to the game. _________________ This is War, Survival is Your Responsibility. |

| I just hope the content represents the value that the season pass represents after the price hike. @donta1979 As he mentions some quick research of the area brings up a whole lot nothing of the surrounding area. Like Fallout 3, it depended on centering main quest around historical landmarks, so I'm rather stumped as of why this small town was chosen. The article mentions a couple of bio medical labs, so maybe there could be something FEV based? If you could travel to Castle island as well, then there might be a bit more potential. If Bethesda jumps up their game and delivers not only a good story, but a diverse wildlife population, then I'm anticipating a very good DLC; at least for me. =) _________________ “We can only see a short distance ahead, but we can see plenty there that needs to be done.” - Alan Turning
