I've been going through my new playthrough for fallout new vegas with a brand new save and I'm encountering more and more issues that I think are associated with new vegas redesigned 3. I'm not sure if there are uncompatiable mods causing issues with my game. What I want to ask is if anyone uses or has used new vegas redesigned and if they find it unstable and is there better alternatives that wont mess up my game.

There is a issue i know with FCO(Fallout character overhaul) that causes the ole purple face but that may not be your issue what are your issues ? and if its not to much to ask a mod list will help as well please put it in a spoiler for space. maybe i can help who knows

I've had the purple faces but easily fixed it, my other issues were landscapes becoming a light purple colour and places like the 188 trading post having all structures disappearing and the area basically becoming a crater after loading a save and peoples heads clipping through their hair.

that is not that mod , it is a issue with you having to many esp's loaded or no archive invalidation

now that interesting for all i know 188 only changes are  veronica no landscape files,i have no problems there or any other place besides Gomorrah but thats optional ?

Well i had performance issues and purple faces .I guess my pc does not like Redesigned 3 .I really like the mod but ...well its not working good for me .Or maybe im to stupid to install it .So the answer for your question is ...its unstable if you dont have a good pc .I dunno .

I have a pretty teribble pc and im able to run it okay , but maybe with have different standards of okay, on the purple face problem it seems to be conflicting with FCO 3.0 and needs to be fixed with a work around
Said workaround:
i mention this because i do quite enjoy NVR and the purple faces almost killed my enthusiasm for a playthru once so if you want to give it a go there it is .

But what do i know im a Platypus

I have archive invalidated active but how many plugins is too many, does it matter if they are not activated.

I've also had no issue running fallout new vegas as I've ran far more intensive games without issues.

Plugin limit is 139 active plugins that is , vegas may not be Intense but it can be very weird performance wise

If thats the case its weird that all the things happened to my game because I never go above 110 plugins. Do you think my game files could have been corrupted.

Maybe but thats a maybe you could  verify cache intergirty  if with steam(which will get any missing vanilla file) be warn it will miss some stuff up such as Ui elements if using darnified or others .

i suppose it could be corruption but hard to know for sure. it might be a mod conflict or a load order problem but i doubt the latter seeing as you seen savvy enough to know fix your load order   .

Any mods that change whole landscapes?

Only mods that change the landscape is the medium nmc texture packs and parts of new vegas redesigned 3 and NCR enhancement.

@"Great Teacher Alex" I have two of those mods working now Nmc And NVR no major problems so it might be a corruption problem , but im wary to say so because that is alot of time lose for you in game and also uninstalling and reacquiring all your mods and even more so if you have on of those limited Isp plans . the mod Nvr is stable so i don't believe that's the problem .

you could verify the steam cache for new vegas which might fix it or might not and mess something else up or you could uninstall New vegas and do a fresh install

both of which may not solve your problems by the way did you ever uninstall Nvr and see if it may actually be causing it some how ?

I've verified the cache and it didn't help and tried uninstalling nvr but when I checkd the area again it just went back to vanilla but I still had the issue with clipping heads. I wasnt able to figure out the issue so I reinstalled the game earlier today and installed the mods again and there isnt a issue but I havnt installed nvr yet so there might actually be a conflict with or something wrong with nvr.

It does look like two heads inside each other. I seem to have fixed it now but I dont know how I did it besides following the workaround you provided. I originally thought the conflict was one of the mods I made but it seems like it was something else.

well seems its working now correct if so have fun murdering and looting dont do anything i wouldn't do with zero accountability in a post apocalyptic society .

I have it and frankly it works fine with me. I love New Vegas Redesign 3. Just make sure you have an older version of FCO. New Vegas Redesign 3 doesn't use the latest version of FCO.

Did you make a compatibility patch with FNV edit?

If I recall I seldom used New Vegas redesigned 3 due to the amount of odd incompatibles (not game breaking) you would run into unknowingly. I believe NVR2 had the least effect on a large load order.
