| So with F4 now x64, does that mean extra system memory RAM can help with the workload from the CPU/GPU?

| I love how some people were complaining at trailer launch that the game has meh graphics and doesn't live up to the standards of "Next Gen" but then when the system requirements get released they complain about not having powerful enough Rigs to run it. lmfao |

| It looks like the game might be poorly optimized like the rest of their games. Those specs just do not make sense. Unless they pull off some kind of satanic ritual before the game launches, I just don't see the game needing that hardware. |

| Intel Family HD and an i5 on my current build while my other is gone. That alone makes me have to nuke the settings on most games.
As for Fallout 4...challenge accepted. |

| My comp should play it okay but I never get fallout games/ bethesda games right away. I may rent it on console but buying them I never do anymore, I wait until a mod catches my eye or I'm sure I won't be terribly disappointed. (I was salty over Skyrim and never really got into FO3, played a negligible amount and never fired it up again) _________________ School may be kicking my ass if I don't reply to a PM.

| Time to put my beast to the test of 4K! I'm not trolling but I just bought a 4K monitor and I heard even the best graphics cards get super low FPS in modern games.
I'm currently using: 1600 Watt Coolmax Power Supply Intel 1.2TB 750 Series Solid State Hard Drive Intel Core i7 5960X 8-Core Processor (liquid cooled) Coolmax 1600 Watt Modular Power Supply Corsair Dominator Platinum Series 64GB DDR4 Memory (liquid cooled) Gigabyte XPOWER DDR4 LGA 2011 EATX Motherboard NVIDIA GeForce GTX Titan X 12GB GDDR5 Graphics Cards (Quad SLI) Corsair Obsidian 900D Tower 480mm XSPC Radiator 240mm XSPC Radiator Corsair SP120 (Green) Fan (x12)
I know for a fact that my setup works fine with 1080p on this game, but I have yet to ever attempt 4K at all. |

| @The Vault Projects Your 12 GB Titan could never compete with my 2 GB 760!! *cries*
In all seriousness, I've been able to push my current system pretty far without any manual tinkering, but with Linux I'll have to do some annoying manual compile-with-this-dependency-and-this-option-enabled voodoo in order to be able to keep playing Fallout 3 and New Vegas. Hopefully it doesn't break my setup and I can continue playing both the 32-bit games along with FO4. *knocks on wood*
Hardware isn't my main concern: it's software. I won't be able to play unless the WINE dev team makes a breakthrough with DX10 and 11, or FO4 ends up supporting DX9.

| Well let's see... so far I can pretty much obliterate everything in the list; RAM is a 2x8GB Kingston HyperX Fury Red 1866MHz (clocked to 1600MHz for Mobo compat). GPU is a single MSi GTX 970 4GB vRAM. MOBO is an M4A88T-M series (it's a little archaic but eh). PSU is a Corsair Gaming Series 700w +80 Bronze Certified Power Supply; NOT modular sadly. CPU is an AMD Phenom II 1045T 6-Core series with 2.70GHz processing power. As for my toaster, it's a Kenmore. It cooks toast pretty damn well. By no means as good as those dudes who made a 10-second toaster, but what can you do? Jokes aside though, the only thing I fear that will be an issue is my CPU which will be bottlenecking my overall performance. Other than this though... I might be able to upgrade it before too long assuming everything goes smoothly. _________________ |

| Whats this? last minute shenanigans from Bethesda? Todd's legs are weak, his hands are sweaty, mom's spaghetti. http://www.techtimes.com/articles/97004/20151020/fallout-4-pc-disc-does-not-pack-the-full-game-says-bethesda-exec-heres-the-deal.htm |

| Well that's stupid. Making 95% of the game data isn't going to stop piracy, just slow it down a tiny bit. There will be a cracked version with all of the data within a week of the game being released. What about the consumers with painfully slow internet? The ones with no internet? Is industry leaving the less fortunate consumers behind? Bethesda is just shooting themselves in the foot with this. Shame on them. _________________ |

Well, you can't play the modern consoles without internet connection at all, you also have to pay for their internet services if you want to have multiplayer. So in the year 2015 it sounds really weird to me. I mean, how are you going to download patches for your game? Or you believe that Bethesda's game won't have or won't need patches? Really? Reeally? Not to mention that most of mods (be it Nexus or any other modding community) require purchased DLCs. |

| ^ essentially this, Not having internet in this day and age is just not doable anymore, maybe in early 2000's but we are almost reaching 2020, it's not acceptable anymore. Same thing applies to computer illiteracy, everyone at this point should know the basics of these things. Ergo Having slow internet is better than having no internet at all. |

That's part of my point. Believe it or not, there are people who don't have easy access to internet that would like to be able to play this game and others. Not everyone is as fortunate as you and I to have that, which is why I really dislike the direction that the gaming industry is going in, all for the sake of "piracy reduction" efforts that eventually get worked around anyways. - Quote :

Nobody said that the game wouldn't ever be patched or need patches. Obviously, not having an internet connection would mean not having the game patches unless the game patches were installed from an expansion pack/DLC disc. Not having internet would also mean not having mods (unless I suppose you downloaded them at a different location and brought them over on a flash drive or something). The point is that it's a big middle finger to the people who don't have the luxury of a constant internet connection. Some kid is going to get the game for Christmas as a gift that their parents got them, only to find out that they can't even play it because "an internet connection is required to complete the installation." _________________ |

| @DelineatorI doubt that people who can't afford an internet connection for few necessary downloads will actually even bother thinking about playing any modern game then. They have to survive thunder in the jungle first. |

| Yeah, I suppose you're right, though the people with data caps are going to be pissed off about it for sure. _________________ |
