I'm going to have to go with the Brotherhood on this one. Specifically, though, the Elder Lyon's Chapter as their goals were to help the people of the Wastes and not just the preservation of tech.

I would choose The Enclave, because personally I believe in their dogmatic ideals and will honorably enforce it under them.

Brotherhood of Steel, of course. Why? Because... "Fighting the Good Fight."

The Enclave have cooler looking power armor and uniforms. I'm sorry, Elder Lyons, but Autumn has you beat in the fashion department. Dat coat.

Still, I chose the Brotherhood. Hell, I'd even take the Outcasts. They may not like me, but at least they're not going to commit genocide against the people in the wasteland...

I'm more of an Enclave follower. They have cooler gear, better technology and feel more like an army. Also, they seem more like the good guys in comparison to the brotherhood.

Both groups are closed, exclusive, have access to advanced technology, follow Pre-War rules and ideas.
But in the end, Enclave has better core ideas and goals. Yes theyre menacing and kind of getting where they need by any means necessary but seeing Edens plan I'm inclined to believe that with less sociopathic leadership they really could make a difference, for the better.
BOS is a cool badass faction but I wouldnt want to join them or have them "win".

I like BOS more because of eastern bos (fallout tactics), lyon bos (fallout 3) and veronica (nv) other than that i do not like bos and enclave both. These two factions are too self righteous and kill anyone that cross their ways.

I personally prefer the brotherhood, regardless of what chapter. Yeah they can be a-holes most of the time, but they're preserving "precious" technology that most people would end up destroying. The Enclave is pretty much the same, but I just can't see myself siding with them. I would definitely rather be with the BOS over any other group.

I guess the brotherhood (they have their own game, which sux, but hey, still their own game)...

Enclave has the best stuffs though...

I'd had to go with the BOS because I feel it comes down to the better of two evils.

On one hand the Brotherhood are like 6 year olds with a new toy who don't want to share with anyone in the sand-box, and if they see someone with a toy similar to their own, they will go out and snatch it because well it was shiny but at the end of the day they are (at the very least some chapters are) trying to help out the people of the wastes.

But on the flip side (Oh god I can't believe I just typed that) the Enclave, while I can respect their desire to advance our technology and their will to restore the old government, I don't agree with their research into FEV and kidnapping the locals to use as labor and lab rats.

I'd like the Enclave, but I kind of don't like how they don't think of outsiders as people.
Xenophobia is okay and even recommended in the post-apocalyptic world, but there's no need to eradicate everyone else for it if they don't pose a threat.
Though in Fallout 3 you're born in a Vault, so I'd guess you're fine.

It doesn't make sense to me why they hate Ghouls. I mean, it's completely ok to hate any group for their features, as long as they behave differently, but Ghouls are basically people. Judging by looks is in my opinion justified when a certain group behaves differently and also look different, which makes it possible to predict their behavior from their looks. Non-feral Ghouls aren't bad though, and can possess great amounts of knowledge and wisdom due to their long lifespan.

Super Mutants are more aggressive by nature and that's a valid enough reason not to not like them, though the Mariposa remnants are much more peaceful and civilized than their East Coast cousins, and since the Master is no longer spouting his mutant supremacy stuff they're completely fine.

On the other hand there are exceptions like Uncle Leo, but the thing is, he shouldn't be judged as a part of that group. He should instead be treated as not belonging to such group, since he acts exactly the opposite to how statistically most of the Vault 87 Super Mutants do.

I don't think the enclave wanted to restore the "old America", that was just the token line they use to rally others to their agenda. The agenda being to transform humanity into a Borg type race which would be more easily controlled by the master or master computer. However there are many different factions of the Enclave and BOS some with less nefarious goals.

Yeah I probably should have taken into account the different groups within the Enclave instead of treating them as one group. I'll see if I can find any lore/info about other groups of the Enclave to see if there are any cases of Enclave groups following different agendas. As of the moment I am only aware of the FEV testing and the Deathclaw research. (If I find anything of note will edit this post with the info. Though I still have to go with the BOS. )

I agree with you. I favor BOS also. Although I don't agree with their methods...the BOS takes a more passive way in trying to save humanity from themselves. I would have probably joined the outcast BOS though. They took on the role of defenders of the wasteland.
