What's your favorite element of the Fallout Universe? What's the part you hate the most?

Mine:

-Favorite: the Gatling Laser. Damn is that a fun weapon to use. Looks cool as hell as well. Especially the version they gave us in Fallout 4. The previous one looked kinda meh but was still fun as hell to shoot.

-Most Hated: The T-60. Because it looks hideous - it's blocky and looks like a gorilla - and because it relegated my beloved T-51- which looks awesome - to mid tier...

@gavin gold My favourite part of the Fallout series has to be how it is based of our timeline but it's an alternate timeline that and the lore are my favourite aspects. As far as my least favourite aspect probably the lack of actual game changing decisions in the newer games besides those games ie 4 &76 the Fallout series is by far my favourite.

my favourite element of the fallout series has to be the weaponry and the theme of the game as it is based off the rat pack era, aka the 50s/60s

least favourite element of the series has to be the fact that the game is pretty linear, story-wise and that your decisions throughout the game have little impact on the actual outcome

In my opinion I love the theme of fallout where you are in a post apocalyptic world with 1950s feeling

and the thing I dislike is the same as burner said
that they didn’t really bring any real good game changers for the newer fallout games (fo4,fo76)

I have to agree to a point.

I enjoyed the "hint of the 50's" that we saw with Fallout 1 & 2, but it also felt as if that was "re-creating a stylised past" to me.

The Bethesda approach of ham-fisting it as "America vs Commies" was a bit much, and I do dislike that it got put into OWB, but it felt more natural there with how ... over the top everything was in that addon.
