| I know I have been talking a lot about the upcoming game fallout 4 it's just that I want to talk about, if its going to get new features. What I want to talk about is the armor not the power armor but regular armor are we now able to upgrade it like in skyrim but it changes every time you upgrade it not just the name and it looks the same, it adds like metal plating and or something else just like the weapons.
Staff Edit: this doesn't belong in the 'Fallout Public Releases' section of the forums as it does not pertain to a mod release. Â When creating topics please post them in the correct areas. |

| It will be like armors in Morrowind, you know different pieces for different parts of the body, and it will be possible to mix sets of armors. |

| Im super excited for the new armor system. Will be nice to not be forced to wear one set. But now that we are able to pick and choose i'll probably spend half the game trying to find the right outfit _________________ |

| @tonbop lol same. I'll probably take 30 minutes just to find a perfect armor for my character. _________________ "If you cannot do great things, do small things in a great way."

| As excited as the new armor system makes me, I kinda agree with tonbop. I'm already a super completionist when it comes to armor sets (must have at least one of each set). Now that impulse will kick into overdrive and become an obsession. And then it will be Morrowind all over again (ie. spending every waking second not devoted to work playing Fallout 4).

| I like the fact that you actually wear your armor under your power armor. It makes the power armor seem more like a vehicle, like its supposed to. "Power armor is not worn, its used." _________________ "Something old, something new. Something borrowed, something blue." My Mods: - Spoiler:

Yes, for sure. Previous games have trivialized power armor for sure, making it both more common and not as powerful as it was meant to be. Definitely looking forward to the new power armor system. Hopefully, it'll be something you can access whenever you want and not just during certain missions or scenes. |

| I'm keeping my fingers crossed that if they do segmented armors that it carries over to companions. From the menu system it looks like you can combine armor parts, but unsure if like some Skyrim armor mods the finished product can be worn by NPCs or just the player. _________________ My reaction to the Fallout 4 trailer: - Spoiler:

I only go for style (what I personally think looks cool) So i'm pretty excited for a mix/match mechanic with armour this time around. Even more interested in seeing what modders do with it in the years to come. |

| I'm particularly interested in how power armor customization works, and how we assemble a collection of parts to choose from. Maybe we can find blueprints, or bring suits back to our home to deconstruct? I also want to see how upgrading the armor works, whether we could change things like servo-motors, power sources, or cooling systems. I also want to paint my power armor pink and put a Hello Kitty symbol on the helmet so I can pretend it's Super Future. _________________ "They asked me how well I understood theoretical physics. | I love the new armor equip system, which applies to both power armor and reg armor. Its all completely modular, which adds a whole new level to customization. Could be rocking an enclave power armor helmet with brotherhood chestplate x D, anything is possible combination wise now, which I really like. _________________ |

I really hope they make the most out of that kind of mentality. I'd love to see power armor as I've always felt it should be. You know, things like a different HUD when in first person mode, as well as a kind of light camera bob to demonstrate the fact that....well, its power armor. Not exactly as responsive as just moving freely. |

| i dont know how i feel about the armor system, yeah its cool and innovative. i just hope there's plenty to choose from. there will probably be some suits/complete outfit of some sort, but i feel like the new system limits that. like its gonna feel stale if all you do is put layers over the jumpsuit. its probably just me being skeptical, anyway i never had a problem with the previous system. _________________ |

| I rekon its going to be pretty detailed with allot of content and armours because they have spent so long developing the game, I thought it might have been Bethesda making a new engine but if I'm not mistaken there using a modified skyrim engine. I hope you can mix power armour with scrap metal to make a badass scrap suit _________________ There are two sides to every story, dont take the first side you hear as the truth

My guess is power armor will be available for use whenever you want, but it'll require something to power it like fuel or cells. Maybe it'd be restricted on certain quests. |
