| Well I think it's a good idea having it bullet proof but only to a certain point, The different armors will have different strengths and can break or be damaged by the looks of things which I think makes it look more interesting also it also looks like you gotta get a power source for your armor because power armor has to run on some sort of power so I guess you gotta get batteries for it by the looks of things and I also think jetpack usage may also use power for the suit. Well thats my thoughts now, thanks for reading PEACE! _________________ ''To the edge of the universe and back endure and survive''.

I assume your talking about fallout 4 in which case I imagine/hope they will bring back the brotherhood, or maybe the enclave since it's on the east coast and it's the same timeline roughly, and you'll just get the power armour off of them after giving them a few handies or whatever _________________ Rev. Nearly invincible againts bullets... if you want to be nearly invincible againts a deathclaw then it would get a little bit boring. I wonder if energy weapons would damage it kinda badly... |

Yes but it has to be brutally hard to get a set of power armor endgame. As you either have to sneak through an entire Brotherhood of steel or Enclave bunker. Do 6 quests or so to get training and a pair of power armor.
Hoping that when you gain power armor and attack a bunch of raiders they would react to what their weapon and armor is and what your weapon is. It always annoys me when raiders with only a tire iron charge at me wearing telsa enclave remnants and a minigun.

| i kinda want getting power armor to be a long scavenger hunt like quest, where you collect the peices as you travel and eventually make a custom set. |

| I don't think it will be too crazy, but I'd think it'd feel very different from previous games. _________________ |

I agree, especially with the new customization features and jet-packs stuff _________________ Rev. TheWalrus Ordained Dudeist Priest at Dudeism, the Church of the Latter-Day Dude

| There's likely to be balance issues. Power armour and metal armours should give great protection against small arms. They should also give complete protection against lasers - which can't pierce metal as the beam dissipates in power exponatially over distance.
Energy weapons with a kind of beam or projectile equal to gamma radiation, though should pierce any type of armour that isn't lined with led without any loss of power. Energy weapons of the beta kind should be stopped by power armour and metal armour though - as the 'projectile' is realistically stopped completely by 4 cm of wood. Gamma radiatiuon on the other hand is never stopped by anything. It takes 10 cm of led to reduce it (I think to 10% or was it by 10% - I can't remember) Anyway, what I'm going at is that an electromagnetic beam should be far more efective than any other weapon angainst someone in heavy armour. Of course a hollow point round fired from a gun is more damaging that an energy weapon - but only under those conditions.
But we'll see how Bethesda ends up doing the whole thing. _________________ Visit my fan-fiction corner at the Hall of Torque: (Link removed as per request) Errare humanum est. If you'd like the link, PM me.

I'd have to agree, I really didn't like the "jet" pack (I'll consider it more of a jump pack), but it's something other people can play with, which is always nice. On topic, power armor actually being better than just heavier, slightly tougher metal armor is just... _________________ Metallic Monk Fanatic Extraordinaire |

| I love the new animations and all but it's not really a suit you'd wear as much as you did in 3 and New Vegas, mainly because of how slow and clunky it is. But after-all a power armor is supposed to be like that and not just like a bit of metal armor. And the Enclave armor looks great! What are your ideas? _________________ Surviving the Wasteland. | I am not sure yet, I love my armor like I love my guns. Styling and practical. The Batsuit mod is one example of gear I use thats styling and practical. But ya get my point. As for Power armor I rarely use it, mostly because its heavy and takes up a lot of space I use for weapons. |

| I think the power armor is now what it should be: Power Armor. It's supposed to be something you fear if the enemy has one and a relief if you/someone on your side does. In FO3/NV it just kinda felt like being in a metal suit, sure it had high damage ratio, but so does other armors, I mean there's a lot of factors that explain why someone would prefer Power Armor, I mean I rarely use it simply because it makes you slow and there's some decent alternatives, with the way 4 is handling it )Of the trailer of course) It looks like something you really want to use now in terms of going into heavy combat rather than to just look cool. The only really concern I have apart from how will you travel with it, is how fast you get it, do you get it early in the game? Or end game? I imagine you get a bare bones weakest version of it in the beginning and you slowly upgrade it from there. |

| It really should have felt like this all along. Lore says that one person wearing Power Armor can destroy an entire town without facing any danger even from missile launchers. Power Armor is truly going to be Power Armor in this game, and I can't wait. |

| I agree with what most of you guys said, power armor should be like a vehicle not just some pijama you put on, power armor is one of the best pieces of pre war tech, it's not supposed to be just set of metal armor with more damage resistance . Not so sure about the jetpack to be honest lol, but can't say anything yet Bullets should not be an effective counter measure to power armor, if i remember correctly the U.S. had to make a counter measure themselves fearing that the Chinese were also developing power armor, that weapon was called the pulse gun :O |

| I think the idea of a jetpack would be nice because the trailer shows it's only for a short time, maybe a raider into a guarded fence and you just fly over it.
I think bullets shouldn't effect the top tier armor, your Power Armor should be just barely useful against a gang of raiders head on, but high power or even enough decent weaponry can still halt your rampage, that way it gives you the incentive to upgrade your armor. |

| Also I liked that you could use separate parts of power armor, how different parts will have an effect on your power armor set, like rusty power armor shouldn't be no where as effective It's gonna be awesome to play around with your power armor set |

| It reminds me of Morrowhind where you would wear the best of whatever section armor you had, and you'd look like a disorganized mess. I wonder how they'll balance it out between wearing Power Armor 24/7 or not, since it looks like you might get it early in the game. |

| Yeah that's what it looked like, if I'm not mistaken (atleast in the Xbox one demo) I think the character was only level 2 lol |

| From the gameplay that I saw, it looked more like the jetpack was to give the wearer a massive jump with an effect similar to gliding after reaching peak height. I don't think we'll actually be able to stay in the air. |
