Creating rig doll for poses in Blender Empty

Hi there!
At the moment I am trying to create my own rig doll for making poses because of Backsteppo's one do not fit my needs. I trying to make it with jonas66 tutorial, but it is written very vague and unclear, a lot of steps are just skipped. Now I have huge problem when somehow armature that I've erased after importing body part mesh is still there - and I have four "scene root" instead of one when importing skeleton according to guide. Here what I mean:

In import options button "merge skeleton roots" is turned on.

Searching through guides doesn't give any results. So how do I completely remove armature from imported body parts to import skeleton on clear mesh?

@Allnarta - I think I may be able to help. Sometimes Blender retains data from the old skeleton even after you've deleted it.  

Meaning that once you delete the old skeleton/nodes (SceneRoot) then import a new skeleton, Blender will rename the new skeleton to SceneRoot.00 (or .01, 02, etc).

The only way to prevent this that I have seen, is to save your project/blend file after you delete the original skeleton, then exit blender and reload it.  It seems that saving/reloading is what fully purges all references to the old skeleton.

I tend to do this a couple of times in a row to be safe.  Its annoying, but still quicker than dealing with the hassle of importing the skeleton only for it to be renamed.

@Tesvixen thank You for help! at the moment I've made something that looks like rig doll and works ingame - I think that it not perfect, but it works. Very Happy I'll try to make more "clean" rig doll according to Your advice. Smile

No worries at all - solving this was a big deal for me, because multiple sceneroot references (or even misnamed ones like .00) in a given mesh almost always cause crashes.
