Hey guys, again there is another issue with my fallout game. This time I cant start a new game I've loacated the source of the issue but am having trouble on how to fix it. The issue is Tale of two wastelands I have uninstalled it and uninstalled the game itself but to no avail. Some help would be great!

Sadly you might have to reinstall your game

Ive had the same issue with plenty of mods.

Could you give more info? Why can't you start a new game? Because it crashes?

it starts and I get all the DLC notifications but it doesn't actually start it stays black

Where do you start? In DC or NV? Also you have to modify some things in the fallout.ini to get TTW working.

I don't recall editing the .ini and I don't start in DC because I Uninstalled TTW

Perhaps you could try going to Steam, right-click Fallout New vegas > Properties > Verify integrity of game cache

I tried that, No luck

Do you have other mods installed? Have you tried starting a new game without any mods?

The only thing that i can actually thing of is that the game needs to be reinstalled or you have to take the mod out completely and restart all over again with the mod process. I am very sorry i could be of no more help to you. I wish you the best of luck.

I had the same problem, so i can only describe what helped me.

First, go in your default Fallout New Vegas directory (mostly ''C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Fallout New Vegas'' (without the qoutes))
Now, select everything (ctrl+a) and make a backup first (make a folder on the desktop named liked ''New Vegas Backup'' or something) then if you copied the files into your backup folder, select in the main directory all files again and delete them. Install your game again and see if it works. (Don't worry, your saves won't get lost they're in the folder ''C:\Users\User\Documents\My Games\falloutnv\saves'')

The files you're looking for are C:\Users\YourName\Documents\My Games\FalloutNV\Fallout.ini and C:\Users\YourName\Documents\My Games\FalloutNV\FalloutPrefs.ini
You may also want to make the changes in FalloutDefault.ini in the game folder as well, if you use the normal game launcher for some reason. Using that launcher overwrites Fallout.ini with the values in FalloutDefault.ini every time it's run.
Make these changes:
SCharGenQuest = 001FFFF8
sIntroMovie = (yes this one is blank on purpose, it needs to be blank)
bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles = 1

To fix it simply delete the fallout.ini so the game makes a new one or change the modifications back to what they should be

You're ahead of me. Yeah. Fallout.ini is may be the cause of many issues.(if you deleting the game via steam ,this file is still there)
