As long as my companions stop running off and killing people and making our presence known >.> _________________ :hellobig: I spend my time watching youtube, playing mods for Fallout 3 and NV as well as Skyrim. Ah Willow, my fave companion and gf for my character. I never do a playthrough without her, and when I play Oblivion/Skyrim, I always have Vilja on as well. They both are some of the best companions that I have ever seen and used. And they are smarter than the vanilla companions by miles (not that that is hard at all lol. I'm looking at you Cas!) _________________ :hellobig: I spend my time watching youtube, playing mods for Fallout 3 and NV as well as Skyrim. On skyrim I use vilja and Sofia my vilja is redguard. And Sofia is high elf I really hope the mod author does put Willow in there, it would be pretty damn sick. And nice, you'll have to post some screens, (unless you have already) And sorry OP, getting slightly off topic XD _________________ :hellobig: I spend my time watching youtube, playing mods for Fallout 3 and NV as well as Skyrim. | I also would love to have better companions with better personality and AI packages...as long as they don't bump into me, of course...-glares at Skyrim-
Oh, and I would love to be able to move NPCs around, like the feature in the Groovatron mod, since that's very useful. |

| i think they really need to up the AI quality for combat, instead of just melee npc's charge straight at you and npc's with guns stand in the open and shoot at you.
also i think it would help if npc's had animations of some sort when they take a hit instead of only when a limb gets crippled or they die. i need to feel like my weapons are actually hitting them.
I also agree with you squigglysheep the companions need an upgraded AI too.
as for the guns i think they are fine the way they are for the most part. i would like it so that all the weapons are usefull and we don't have any more useless weapons like the recharger rifle or the chinese pistol that where usless even at level 1.
it would be nice if each race of ncp had unique tactics for fighting. obviously the creatures straight forward. but the humans could show more veriation. so for example raiders are more liekly to ambush and charge you. where as soldiers like the ncr, they could try and pin you down and flank you. or they call for backupor use grenades to flush you out of cover.
i know alot of what i have said is a lot to ask for but a man can dream can't he.

| I don't know about Far Cry, but I'd like to see a combat system where VATS is more integral like it was in the older games, instead of just being able to FPS your way through battles. |

| Yes I can agree on many of these. Many of these ideas are implemented by mods. So im hoping Bethesda will catch on. But, all I ask for I just a cover system and better AI. Everything else I like would eventually be added on by mods Im sure. |

| I'd like for the gameplay to be a bit more realistic (one shot to the head without armor protection equals death or severe injury). But I hope that they at least stick with the VATS system. It's a staple of the franchise. |

| Mechanics definitely need work, I think there should be more options for a sneaky kill, for example, if an enemy sees you once but you then break line of sight and you sneak, the they should only be able to know your last known location, not have an omniscient view on you 24/7. _________________ “The only preventative measure one can take is to live irregularly.” ― Adolf Hitler, Mein Kampf

| Melee Combat should be a bit more fluid, killmoves like in Skyrim would be a huge plus to the combat system, and maybe the body parts should play a bigger role. Hitting weapons out of a enemy's hand and such would be a cool thing to see, maybe you'd need a perk and a special move for it.
VATS is fine as it is, I really like the way it works in situations when you need to think fast or you're dead, and it gives you a chance to plan out your moves like in the Sherlock Holmes movie that came out a few years back. I mostly use it for cinematic executions though. Headshots should do more damage especially when the character is not wearing any kind of helmet.
I guess maneuverability could be added, particularly climbing. It's not directly a feature of the combat system, but it makes it so much more viable to play snipers and it makes exploring much easier. And for god's sake, sprinting. That's pretty much all I need, I've gotten used to the way Fallout plays, and I don't want it to change too much. _________________ A secret message to the chosen ones:- Spoiler:

| I'm just hoping that VATS will have a bit more animation to it, maybe the player can do a sick style of execution with the weapon their using |

| I'd like a Run n' Gun sorta system. Nothing like rushing into a room with a pistol whilst you pop' everyones head off. _________________ - I wrote:

| Here's a few things I would like in Fallout 4: Realistic damage, no more bullet sponge enemies and no more bullet sponge player. No extra HP when leveling up and maybe no "add points to skill". I didn't like Sykrim (and it was the only game I played from the Elder Scrolls franchise) but I liked how you had to do skill related actions in order to gain XP. I just never liked the idea of adding points to a skill in order to get better. And no "the more skill you have in Guns, the more damage you do" system, it is silly, the more skill you have, the better you should reload and keep your aim steady and handle the weapons better in overall and maybe lower the condition degradation, because the player would be experienced with weapons and be able to clean them and keep them in good shape (but it would always degrade). The more skill you have with melee, for example, the faster and better you would attack, resulting in a superior damage, but not changing the base damage based on skill. Definitely needs a cover system too. And I hope the enemies don't level up with you. One of things I most hated in Fallout 3 was the fact that the 19 years old player was able to take the entire Vault security team, kill Supermutants and Behemoths at level 1.
Anyway, this is what I really would like to see in Fallout 4, but it will probably be a Skyrim with guns. |
