The Capital Wasteland because it made it feel like a nuclear apocalypse happened unlike the Mojave Wasteland it was just a giant desert with a couple settlements here and there and was overall boring to explore for me.

Personally i prefer the Capital Wasteland, i find it much more fun to explore somehow, tends to look better as well due to mostly being flat compered to the Mojave, less ugly LOD.

I prefer the Capitol Wasteland. To me it was more fun to explore and had that post-apocalyptic feel to it.

I prefer the Capital Wasteland. Even though I prefer NV over FO3. It just feels alot bigger, and it also reminds me of metro 2033.

The capital wasteland was awesome cause you had so many settlements and there was a big city to explore full of killing and death but after awhile it felt so dull which I don't know.

Mojave at first didn't appeal to me cause I was more use to the DC but playing the original fallout games made the Mojave more enjoyable the Mojave has less settlements and more NCR bases but the world felt more fun after awhile the strip was a let down but the casinos bring lots of light which is the type of place you can rest relax and get some RNR.
I prefer the Mojave the most these days but for adventure DC but I find point look out more better then DC

See I was never a fan of green... And that's all I saw in the Capital Wasteland. It was a fun place but just never felt like home for me, the mojave on the other hand was amazing. I loved the colors, the desert, the settlements and the feeling of being in the old west truly made me feel like a badass!

I once read somewhere that early in development Fallout 3 was going to be only 20 or so years after the Great War. If that's the case it would explain a lot about the Capital Wasteland inability to do ANYTHING. It would also explain Moriarty and Tenpenny having accents.

I honestly like them both equally, but if I had to choose defineatly the Mojave because of all the Western vibes you get whilst traveling.

Well, both are ok, but well... i do prefer fallout 3 wasteland for a simple reason: Everything is more alive there, the npcs are better settled and the factions are truly taking part on the war, on mojave desert you can see very little action , not so much raiders like in other fallout games, and the ones who spawn are very few in small groups that cant take much damage ,this is in terms of vanilla, also i prefer the ruined buildings look, on cities to the empty desert,and there aint no horses to ride there cowboy...

I liked the wasteland better, the abandoned city feel just put me on a slight edge.
Still, new vegas has more content..

I also liked the wasteland better because I loved the radio on there, threeee dogggg, wooo!

I love the wasteland because sometimes you never know what you find the raiders though they were annoying and the big scorpions.

The Capitol Wasteland makes no sense. It is two hundred years after the bombs fell, but it looks like only a few years. The settlements are silly and illogical.

It is, but still, it has a lot more to see than fallout new vegas, i still wish that there were more buildings and enemies, it lacks a lot, dont you think?

The capital wasteland, I don't know but the atmosphere of the capital felt more intriguing to me, and a lot more spooky, especially the damned metros...

I love the Mojave for many reasons. However my most favorite is developing  characters based on a wasteland cowboy archetype. I have an affinity for the west, must have been all those old great cowboy flicks I watched with my grandfather.  The vehicle mods are great too, it's fun driving through the wasteland Mad Max style.    for Erneso for making the XRE car mod, and all the other modders that contributed to that mod.

To be honest, my favorite Fallout location is New California, which is Fallout's 1 & 2 map. I dig that location far more than the others, prob. because it kinda of covers WAY more territory than the other two maps, but in between the two I think that the Mojave is my favorite, hands down.

DC Wasteland, by far. Mojave is boring, empty, and lacking, but the game is more stable and easier to mod. DC just LOOKS more like a wasteland then the Mojave. Honestly, the mojave looks less like a wasteland, and more like a regular desert. DC has way more memorable locations, better story, but it's so unstable, less mods..

For me Definitely the capitol wasteland. Felt more like a nuke was actually dropped there, and the Mojave feels so barren and empty to me, i felt like there was definitely more unique locations in the capitol wasteland aswell, Just my opinion.

Having played both Fallout 1 & 2 as well as having watched Mad Max, I would say the Mojave Wasteland. Sure, it's mostly empty and lifeless, but isn't that exactly what a "wasteland" is suppose to be? The factions and story in New Vegas are more fleshed out as well. We hear about logistical, bureaucratic, and ideological conflicts that are deeper than anything F3 has provided. Don't get me wrong, I loved Fallout 3, it just doesn't feel like a true spiritual successor to the original Fallout games.
