| Does anyone try their best to make their FO3/FNV character resemble their favorite character from another video game, movie, t.v show etc...?
Currently I'm playing as Snake from the Metal Gear Solid franchise (my favorite franchise). It's an interesting way to play, especially if you level up skills that correspond to the character you're playing as. For example, I'd level up survival and sneak to their maximum; skills that I rarely level up. I'd post screenshots but that's a no-no if you're not on the screenshots thread.
Anyone else? Because I know I can't be alone on this. |

| I tried to make my character resemble the version of Big Boss from the upcoming Phantom Pain game. Even got the exact eyepatch he wears with the shrapnel sticking out of his head in a mod. All I need now is a robot like arm. _________________

| I usually try to make my character look myself if I were a part of the game's world. Like my first play through of New Vegas I made a character that looked similar to me, but instead of him being shaved and have short hair like I have irl, I gave him the waster beard and messy hair. _________________ |

| My favorite game characters are Samus Aran from Metroid and Shepard from Mass Effect. I play Fallout 3 as Samus, and Shepard is a fully voiced NPC/companion in my game that has about 500 lines of dialogue.
This works for me because Samus is typically silent (and the one game where she wasn't is largely considered a disaster) like the player character, and my favorite thing about Shepard is her voice/personality/etc... which you can only express with an NPC in Fallout. |

| I honestly think the character editor in the Fallout games is too limited to make a character that resembles someone from another game/a TV show/etc. If it wasn't, I probably make a female character that resembles Samus like TesVixen. (I might be able to do it, because I managed to do it in WoW for a RP character based off of her, and WoW customization is even more limited.) |

| Not very often, no. I tried to make myself a few times in games. Last time I attempted it was Dragon Age: Inquisition and I felt like it took away from the experience because I was more entertained with the Inquisitor looking like me than I was with the story. I enjoy making characters from games or movies in face-gen, but playing as those characters usually does not follow. I like having a character's appearance grow on you. When I think of Shepard in Mass Effect, I think of my character's face rather than default. Same goes for Skyrim's Dragonborn, the Courier in FNV, etc. |

I feel ya man. When I played FO3 on console, as much as I tried to get into my character he looked...plain. In the end, mods really help getting your character feel so much more immersive. |

| I wonder how much depth fallout 4's character edit will be? As flexible as the GECK? Who knows... _________________ "A drop in the Basket, Is Worth a Shepherd's Shilling" ~ Danka Chevchnov

As long as they use a new engine, the possibilities are endless. |

| I would think it will have something similar to Skyrim, just more options and imagination. >Scars >Facepaint >More eye colours >Height >Buid >More races And one idea I really liked was using the Xbox Ones kinetic to scan your face and implement it into the game. _________________ |

| Well I did try to make John Marston once on the console version, didn't turn out that well but I was ok with how it looked. I just stick with the modded faces now but sometimes.. I do go back to making faces... Well barely but still. _________________ |
