| Im curious to find out what you guys/girls do in your game to make it a more immersive or realistic experience. I just downloaded an ENB for the graphical portion and i want to know what you all have to make your game an even greater experience. Ive been thinking for my next playthrough to make it more realistic by limiting what i carry such as one primary a secondary and melee weapon, and try and not to hoard as many items in my inventory. Im trying to make the wasteland feel more unforgiving as possible. |

| I recommend the overhaul, Project Nevada, it restores a number of weapons from past Fallout games, adds multiple upgrades to the user interface, and much more.
Also, look up ACF Brighter Days and Darker Nights on Nexusmods, it makes it so the night is actually more like a dark night instead of a day without sun. |

| There are some great mods out there to really make the game more immersive such Project Nevada reduces your carry weight and overall HP all which can be edited to your liking, There's also Realistic Weapon Damage which makes weapons much more dangerous to enemies and the player alike making facing a group of fiends a lot harder. Animated chems is another good one shows you actually using chems and Realistic Reloading I only started using this and so far im enjoying it. Hope this helps _________________ |

| I have to second the use of a darker night mod, Nevada skies helps immerse me in the game between those dark nights, sand storms, and occasional rain and rad storms. You end up becoming very reliant on shelter if you do not have the required gear in some storms. Playing on hardcore mode always helps to, the fight to find precious water, and having to balance the radiation and health is an outstanding twist to make life that much harsher without going overboard.
It truly feels like you are doing everything you can to survive. I also set the hud to not appear unless I use something corresponding to it (no crosshair until I take aim etc). There are quite a few of these so I would recommend browsing one that works for you.
Lastly, I've been making tweaks to the music of the game, to not only give a better soundtrack...but a better cinematic feeling. |

| Well, my suggestion would be using mods that simulate REAL combat like RWD (Realistic Weapon Damages) but instead of using that mod i recommend you use Project Nevada, and Project Lore, and i also recommend that you get Helpless Falling, realistic reloading, practice makes perfect( Makes the level up more realistic.), Then finally i think you should pick up Increased jams, and finally you NEED CAM( Chems Alcohol and more.)
Project Nevada
Project Lore
Helpless Falling
Practice Makes Perfect
Increased Weapon Jams.

| One mod that I liked for a while was Tuckered Out - Falling and Fatigue Realism. The chems changes interfered with my mod order at the time, but playing it on its own was a surprising amount of fun. Falls become non-trivial very quickly, however.
I really liked Arwen's Realism Tweaks for both FO3 and FNV - I don't know if she's intending to finish the FNV version, though, which is a real shame, because she added a lot of features I liked that I had to scrabble together out of like seven or eight other mods. You can't carry very much, you're no longer a bullet sponge, you can get sick(!), and if I recall right time passes while you're in menu.
JIP's Realistic Weapon Overheating makes combat a bit more strategic since you can't just hold down the trigger until the gun goes click. _________________ Extremely extreme extremophile.

| I generally add things to the game that take it further from reality, rather than closer to it, but one 'realistic' change I made was making most guns/weapons do significantly more damage. Even the weakest firearm in the game would kill someone quickly if not instantly, so taking 4-5 shots to the face/chest before I'm even in danger of death was something I found to be annoying. Shotguns I made especially deadly... at close range they'll one-shot you in just about anything but power armor. I compensated by buffing the DR of those, so you're in more danger until you get the more powerful armors, which I think entirely appropriate, and I got killed many times by just a couple of raiders in the early levels. I found my tactics revolved around shooting the weapons out of peoples's hands when I could, or using stealth gameplay. Of course none of that matters now, not in a game I've filled with 100+ Metroid and Mass Effect weapons. |

| Game Settings Tuner mixed with Project Nevada Rebalance. Make your game ridiculously realistic, or ridiculously ridiculous! That and I usually build up A LOT of immersion mods as I play the game. Say something bothers me, like the fact I can't bottle water. I think: hmm, there's probably a mod for that. And there is and I go and bloat my load order even more > |

| I make mine usually realistic in I can only carry stuff that will fit into my hotkeys, enough ammo if in the field for long periods of time, stimpacks and doctors bags (I play hardcore normally) and food and water but I try to keep weight limit down to what would be used if a tactical backpack was in play and someone with military training (300-500lbs) I also use Project Nevada (LOVE THAT MOD!) add in a few weapon mods and hey presto, you got my game play experience and to make matters worse, I end up with too many guns. _________________ Sitting on the wings of Liberty, awaiting my Valkyrie to Valhalla.

| i always use project nevada to increase realism.. i especially like to make loot, food, and ammo much harder to find, and there's an option to decrease how often you can loot that stuff. i like realistic weapon damages and darker nights with weather. i really like to make it a grinding experience, kinda how i felt playing FO3 the very first time.
Im constantly looking for a mod that lowers the amount of guns that are on npcs, to make each and every firearm you find a luxury, but so far not a whole lot of success _________________ Just a simple man trying to make my way across the universe

| I use project nevada all the time. I also use nevada skies for some realistic weather effects and A World of Pain for new and tougher creatures. My favorite of these is A world of Pain because of all the new stuff it adds. _________________ |
