| You sure that's causing increased load times for you ? You might just been running with a lot of higher-res texture packs. I've never had my load times increased due to bloated saves. _________________ |

| Sometimes just reducing your load order can have a huge impact on load times. _________________ |

Well I'm not sure but I Think it's the bloated save, Because when I Start a new game the loading times are decreased. @Brigand: here is my load order - Spoiler:

A lot of plugins there, man. You've got over 70. You might want to try running with as little as 55 or 60 or 70. I have about 56. And those weapon mods.. There are a lot of them. Most of them are by Millenia, as I can tell, but I recommend you download his merged pack that contains most of his releases. You could also try merging weapon mods. You could do this by recreating GECK entries from various weapon-mod plugins in one, wholly-own plugin. It's work, but it's worth it for performance. I would recommend the same for armor mods. For both, you'll have a smaller load order. Something that's always nice. |

| It's not so much the number of mods you're running, it's what's inside the mod. People who give mindless numbers of 'try 50 mods' or '100 is too many' without taking into consideration what mods are what are usually rambling their own experiences.
From your list order, I count 48 weapon mods, which don't do much besides add new weapons. These more or less have zero impact on your saves, unless there's a bad script which doesn't terminate in there.
From the look of things, in your case, the loading doesn't seem to be save bloating: it's more that there's a lot of stuff that needs to be loaded. To make sure that it actually IS save bloating, move the meshes and textures folder, as long as any non-essential mods away, and try reloading.
@ Everyone else:
Rather than say 'you have a lot of mods', take into consideration what mods he's running. I don't know about you, but it's very obvious that 20 weapon mods would have less of an impact than, say FOWE.

First, you have no idea how much it tickles me to see CrimOffice in you load order. Thank you for that. Second, yeah, there's nothing really "heavy" in there though probably 90% of your load order could be merged into one mod if you don't mind combining all the leveled list and perk scripts. There is or was a mod somewhere that called itself a save game cleaner. I have no idea how reliable or effective it is. |

| That's all I've got to offer aside from suggesting a new game or temporarily disable the bulk of your mods, make a clean save, and add them back in; but again, as the majority of your load order is simple weapon and armor mods I'm not sure if that would even be worth the effort ...unless it's the volume of leveled list scripts that's doing it. I admit I don't know too much about how much drag those might be causing and I hate to "pick" on them, it's just the only thing I can think of that I potentially see a lot of. _________________ |

| Untill the save game is loading, its not broken =)
And the reason of a long load time on older saves is simple - ALL changes you made in a game world SAVED in a savegame. So it takes time for game to process that data and load it. Its that simple.
My suggestion is - check your home\house\faction mods. Huge texture actually dont change much, since its for the graphics card and memory to load them, actuall savegame space is the same - 1 line. _________________ -- brainball - My Achievements:
