Let's face it, you guys have had it easy too long doing your own thing and carving your legend in the wasteland. Now why don't we crank the difficulty up a notch by posting a challenge.

Feel like taking part? It's simple. Just write up a worthwhile challenge I.e. Get a killstreak of 5 raiders in 20 seconds without taking damage.

I'm sure you guys are more creative/sadistic to come up with better suggestions

It'll be interesting to see if you vets can compete against one another.

EDIT: let us know what challenge you accepted and how you fared. OR how far you got I should say

How many deathclaws can you take on without resorting to mini-nukes, or other comparable firepower? Also try to keep companions to a minimum!

"Caligula" Have bad reputation with all factions
"Median" Have a steady relation with all factions
"He who wanders" complete the game without dying
"Plebeian" Complete the game without buying anything
"The Horror...The Horror" Eat a child with cannibal perk (evil i know right)

Beowulf challenge: kill a deathclaw naked with only a melee weapon.

We could make challenge levels in the GECK and post them here for others to try out.

I'm thinking kind of like the "Test your might" level from FC3 Blood Dragon where you go through a portal and you fight waves of "running dead" in a arcade game like level.
People who have played that game will know what I mean

Man that game was awesome and i totally agree with Eetterinakki this is a great idea

I'd start making one myself, but i'm probably going to go sleep soon.

And I don't really know what to put in it yet, the enemies, weapons, rewards etc.

Any ideas on what cell to use as a template for a bigger, corridor like level? I'm lazy so I wouldn't like to have to navmesh it

@Tiberiumkyle def trying your challenge tonight mate. Taking one unlucky soldier with me from the Enclave commander mod, and packing my old trusty laser rifle - and half a dozen grenades. I'll let you know which gibs belong to who in the morning.

Complete the game using only one weapon on hardcore

Golf challenge: play through the main story only using a golf club for a weapon, and only wearing pre-war relaxed wear.

I've accepted the naked melee deathclaw challenge, and have started a new game to train/build a character for it.  I've generally ignored melee until now, this should be interesting.

Edit: up to lv 5, with the mods I'm using, melee only is so very painful.  I got to where I thought I was doing fine against geckos, then a big one threw a grenade at me!  He wasn't actually that tough, it was his larger pal with a friggin nailboard that nearly bashed my head in, would have if I hadn't been using a helmet I'd lifted from random NCR soldier corpse.  It's gonna be awhile before this guy is ready to tackle a deathclaw.

My first take on Tiberiumkyle's challenge. The guy i took, his name was John Doe. He and I had a on the spot plan in which he involuntarily kept the big deathclaw at bay while I scratched its back. Things didn't work well.

Wow... rather looked like the thing accidentally killed you while focusing on yer buddy. Insult to inj... er... death. lol!

What other leverages are allowed?

I can already think of drugs that increase durability, attack speed, movement speed, the Super Slam perk, VATS, Ranger Takedown, perks that increase your stats while drunk...


Flynesse challenge: hit a bloatfly or a cazador mid air with a missile launcher, extra points for hitting one that's moving.

The Goliath challenge: defeat a Super Mutant Behemoth only using thrown weapons

Monster infighting: make the enemies kill each other accidentally. Probably have more chance with explosive wielding enemies

That's no moon: jump on an enemy from on high and kill him before you land.

The Ultimate Test of Will: Go into Nipton and do not kill Oliver Swanick ( The lottery guy )

The Gomorrah Courtyard would be a perfect template for my "Challenge Arena"
But you can't duplicate it, any ideas? I want it to be an outdoor location.

Meanwhile:
Switch of roles: Enslave Caesar (You need Project Ultimatum for this)

Leonidas in the Divide: Defeat Ulysses by knocking him into a gap, falling to his death

Champion of Mariposa: Defeat a Super Mutant in a fist fight with no armor that has DT (Or complete King Of The Ring)

Say Hello To My Little Friend: Kill/Finish off an entire NCR/Legion hitsquad with one well
aimed shot of a 40mm grenade launcher

OK, I'll play with you:Survive a firefight against atleast 10 enemies only using drugs

Oldest Trick In The Book: Disguise yourself in faction armor that you're vilified with, and steal 100 caps worth of belongings from said faction's camps without killing anyone.

I do like hurting other people: Complete all contract killing missions with a melee weapon and a mask

I Saw The World Differently: Beat the game from the start but you can only walk backwards (press only the [S] key). <I have tried this and I failed horrendously. Not for the faint of heart.>
