| Hi, i'm planning to come back to FNV after a long break. Currently sorting out my mod list and I thought I would ask everyone here. What are three mods you would need in every instalation? Because things like MCM, NVSE, and various other resources for other mods are so import, let's not count those. And then a bonus question/request, you don't need to answer this one. I love horror and cute things. So feel free to share something horrifyingly cute for FNV. Thank you. |

| Hi! Welcome back to Fallout: New Vegas. Here's three mods I can't live without:
1. Pip Pong
This allows you to play Pong on your PipBoy, quite flawlessly. It's so awesome for blowing off steam in the middle of the game! Easily the most underrated mod in the Nexus, I think.
2. RACE Allows you to create your own radio station for New Vegas. I love playing with the folk artists, "The Kingston Trio." I just think they fit the culture of the game so flawlessly! Its become my definitive soundtrack for the game.
3. Anything by Dragbody. His mods are just impeccable. I absolutely love being able to dress like my favorite video-game characters with his "armor packs." Or his Caesar's Legion/NCR overhauls!
Enjoy! |

| Well, for me personally, NMC's texture pack is one of my must have mods. I'm very much into making my game look as pretty as possible, and NMC has the best foundation for building off of. Honestly NMC and an ENB are a super simple way to make your game look fantastic.
Another mod that's fairly minor is the FNV Loot Menu, which has probably saved me countless hours of individually opening boxes and looting NPCs. It's something you don't realize you miss until it's gone.
And last but not least, EVE is one of my all-time favorites. When I first installed it years ago, I was absolutely blown away from the quality of the effects, and I don't think I've done a playthrough without it since. These mods are pretty typical I guess, but there are many more that I just reflexively install and would be forlorn without.

Enjoy! Pip Pong is amazing! Race I might mess around with, get a twilight zone radio station going. I will have to check out Dragbodys stuff, I do love the work I have seen of theirs so far. Thank you! |

I will absolutely be installing all of those! God I love lootmenu though. |

| I love little immersion mods, stuff that just changes stuff you've seen a thousand times before.
Enhanced Camera is a good mod for that
The journal for TTW, amazing mod and adds so much to your own rp and story
hitman/azurah's animation replacers. Essential for changing the clunky vanilla animations _________________ "We're not tools of the government, or anyone else. Fighting was the only thing I was ever good at...but atleast I fought for what I believed in." |

| The full New Vegas Bounties quests.
Western ENB.
The Couriers Cache.
Anything that makes the game more "old west" like, really. _________________ "Now remember, when things look bad and it looks like you're not gonna make it, then you gotta get mean. I mean plumb, mad-dog mean."

hitman/azurah's animation replacers. Essential for changing the clunky vanilla animations I will definitely be using both Enhanced Camera and the animation replacers. The journal I love the idea of, but not sure how much I would actually get use out of it. |

| Someguy Series
Dragbody's Faction Mods
I used to say Project Nevada, but with the release of the Simply Series to replace the Core, and JSawyer Ultimate for Rebalance, I have to say A World of Pain.= |

| Grass - It stands to reason that if the bombs dropped hundreds of years ago, climate would've been affected. Makes my game feel like North/Central Africa, which is oddly appropriate given the desert & jungle cycle that swaps every couple millennia.
ENB - Dreary has been scratching that Post-Apocalyptic itch.
JustSprint - Never again will I be reduced to having to fast travel everywhere to make it feel like less of a chore to get around. XRE Cars physics just don't do it for me personally.

| Roleplayer's Alternate Start
More Perks and Traits
and...I dunno it's hard to just pick three. I love Nevada Skies, the YUP patch, various weapon and overhaul mods...I guess the Just Mods set is pretty essential at this point? |

| YUP Just Mods Not sure if it counts as one mod since it's a collection, but the Someguy Series.
I could easily play through the game with just those three mods honestly. Someguy Series is an incredible blast of content to throw in with the main game. YUP is an essential bug fix, and Just Mods add a bunch of gameplay elements that massively improve the game in my opinion. |

| Welcome back! 1st Was definitely the Enb as I could never go back to vanilla graphic 2nd Was this https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/64333 I'm not sure if there are other mods doing it as well but I very doubt I would even touch the game without it. 3rd is dificult.. either it was Drags overhauls, or Vurts flora overhaul, or the Perfect Weather, which isn't public yet unfortunately. I say 3rd was everything else! (:
Less cute but rather cool and horrifying I find this https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/58606 ...^^ |

| So many i'm going to have to check out! Thank you all for doing this, it's quite hard to find newer popular mods when you have been away from the game for a long time. |

| I can't stand the walled-vanilla strip. I need something like new vegas restored or the strip open.
Immersive recoil. Without that, it feels like I'm just moving the mouse cursor over something and holding down the button until it goes away. I need some better gunplay. I want big guns to feel like big guns.
If I plan on doing any casino gambling, aces casino overhaul is a must. I _hate_ that luck is literally a magical power that can control the cards. A 10 luck will ensure that all you have to do is close your eyes and keep whacking "hit" and you'll win and win and win and win (I've tried it, it was horrifying). A luck of 1 does the opposite. That's not luck, that's actual magic. No one is that lucky. Even a luck of 4 or 6 really screws up the games unrealistically. There's a large number of caravan overhauls too, to add players and a better AI and all that.

Oh wow, I cannot believe I forgot the Alternative Start mod. That would honestly take the #1 spot for me, as I think I use it on every playthrough. I've gotten to the point where I forget that it's not vanilla _________________ |

| It's been a good bit since I've played FNV, but I'm reinstalling the game and my load order so this should be a fun topic. ( Everyone loves TTW, Someguy's mods, and Project Nevada( or whatever new mod that replaced it) so I'll not include them)
1. ADAM. Still one of the best re texture for the Ranger outfits. 2. A World of Pain. Without this one, the Mojave always felt so small. 3. The Couriers Weapons. An old weapon mod, but it always brings back good memories. Nothing like running around with a lever action shotgun chambered in 12 gauge. _________________ "Time and tide waits for no man" - Geoffrey Chaucer

A World Of Pain I will have to add, played it for Fo3 but never FNV. TTW is amazing, FO3 is my favorite Fallout game but, it's been a very long time since I did FNV's expansions so I think it's about time to skip TTW for once. |

| 1. RWD/Vicious Wastes-(or something similar,) i can NOT deal with the bullet sponges in games. If i had to choose betweEn playing without no mods, and playing with only this mod, i'd rather not play at all. 2. ENB- it adds so much to the vibe of the game, its a difference between a tense sneaking mission, and just guns blazing, when the enviorment fits, its much easier to get involved into a playthrough, 3. Asurah Animations- After experiencing it, i cant go back. Just cant. |
