Hey GUNers!
What is a mod that you absolutely can not live without it being in your game? Is there a mod that just completes the game for you in some way. I am not really intending the mods to be one that are considered a necessity, such as a bugfix mod. But something that just makes the game feel nearly perfect for you. I like mods that enhance the vanilla experience for me. So mine would have to be Fallout Character Overhaul, and Weapon Re texture Project. And some of Drag's overhauls and maybe a damage modifier.

What are some mods that you can't play without?

I cannot play without RSA weapon pack or the BF4 weapon pack. Weapons of the new millenia as well. Always have to have willow and vanessa as my companions. FCO and new vegas redesigned. An ENB as well, doesn't matter which ENB but, when i install texture mods it has to have an ENB. That is pretty much my standard when i do a playthrough. Possibly the spice of life since it offers so much variety in clothes but, can live with out. Solid Project nowadays is something i need now cause it has a lot of attributes to offer. Enhanced camera and centered person camera to zoom all around and to see my body. Project nevada cause it has many features to offer the mojave as well. Usually a different interface just because i think the old interface is bulky and disgusting to look at. A different pip boy like the readius or the prefered pip boy 2500. One hud cause i love the options given for a more interactive interface. I need a lot of mods these days to even play FNV anymore. Doesn't feel the same when you have gotten yourself in the pool of mods.

For Fallout 3/NV or Tale Of Two Wastelands, I can't play without my custom armors and weapons. The rest of my mods, I could probably play without.

For Skyrim, I can't play the game anymore I Legacy Of The Dragonborn is not installed. This mod makes you want to play the damn game !

For NV I can't play without NV Bounties, AWOP and Couriers Cache. Love the duster that comes with Couriers Cache, its so badass.

With Skyrim I can't live without the mod, Interesting NPC's. That mod really adds some much needed life into the game.

for on fallout 4 its modern weapons, once i started using it, i cannot go back to the vanilla weapons at all, plus any star wars mods that i can find, fallout new vegas it was AWOP, and mods that added more modern weapons.

@Distortion Yeah I forgot about Pipboy 2500 as well. I don't really like the massive block of metal or plastic stuck over every piece of clothing I have. Makes me feel like that is the reason I am always attacked by Freeside thugs.

@Kaiser Atlas Project Nevada is another one I aways use as well. Makes me feel liek I actually have a helmet on. I also feel like EVE is a great mod that complements the additions of PN.

@RangerBoo Those are some solid quest mods that really do expand on the lore of the game, and add it a lot of great story telling and interesting content.

for me right now its the riddick follower by dragbody

I can't play nv without the solid project. Seriously, the visual objectives keep me from wasting 30 minutes searching for a door on another level.

Robco certified is one of my favorites, being able to construct robotic abominations to follow you around is a great time.

NewDialog or Full Dialogue Interface for Fallout 4. I hate having to predict everything my character says before he pulls off some cringey joke that belongs in a Futurama episode or something. Having a full layout of the text really does help me with roleplay and such, and prevents me from saying stupid sh*t like "Igor! Fetch me the brain!" when I really want to say "stfu and put me in Kellogg's brain".

Realistic Weapon Damages also is one of those mods for FNV that is really simple but I love, as I hate shooting bullet sponges and being a bullet sponge myself. It takes away from the immersion and at the same time makes the game tedious to play, especially with the god awful combat from 3/NV.

Ever since I played Fallout 4 I find it hard to play any game without Quickloot, even Skyrim SE as it doesn't have SKSE64 yet. Luckily New Vegas has a quickloot mod by Xilandro I have been using since it's release. It's so tedious having to open containers to see what's inside when I can just take what's inside using a form of black magic and arcane wizardry my character is known for.

Yeah @bobbadan since I've been playing Fallout, the mods pack of contemporary weapons seem to me indispensable.
That is true, there are vertibirds, modern military bases, tanks ... but not a "modern" weapon, weird.
Personally this is the small most unavoidable for a good part.

Only talking about FO4 for me since that is the one I heavily mod:

Any Mod Any Weapon (adds a silly yet survivalist approach to weapons and their usage in the wastelands)

Locational Damage (because no one should survive a .50 to the skull with no head protection)

Ammo Crafting (reminiscent of FNV)

We Are the Minutemen (because they should get stronger as you build them up)

Useful Crank (not too sure if the name is correct; because why have a crank that can produce energy but still need fusion cells for energy?)

Chinese Stealth Armor (because it should have been in the game in the first place)

Those are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head.

FNV: My ENB, Enhanced camera (first person), Pip boy Radius (amazing), Dragbody's base with amors conversions (Helgast sets).

Arwens tweaks for me, can´t go without it =)

For mods I can't go without in FNV are IWS or Increased Wasteland Spawns, Tale of Two Wastelands, Daughter of Ares, NCR Ultimate Overhaul, most of dragbody's faction armors, RSA Tactical pack, Millenia's gun pack, Project Nevada, and most importantly (not really), my Kar 98k.

@Corvo Hey man Futureama is a great show. JK JK JK. But really, I use the same expanded dialog mod. The dialog in that game is terrible sometimes. I have to express my frustration sometimes. Just at critical points in the story, or in a serious part of dialog, your character can just say the dumbest shit possible. Like seriously, who thought this was a good idea to do. Like its funny only some of the time. But after the first few times the novelty wears off and it just takes away so much. There should be a time and a place for everything.

@TheRatDragon yeah the Kar98 is a good addition. There is a lack of interesting bolt action rifles makes the game a little sad. But project nevada is a great mod that adds a lot. I think EVE is a greta addition to the game as well. But it can be taxing on lower performing systems.

Most likely project nevada. I can't fucking play fallout new vegas without project nevada. Even if i have 100,000 other mods loaded. Anybody agree?

@lemon Yep I agree. It adds a huge amount of immersion to many armors and also makes the game far more captivating.
