| I have an odd issue with Fallout 3, I had it for quiet long time, FPS droping and going all over the place but I just relised that it only drops when I go forward, you migh say dough well eveything needs to load that you see in front of you, ok but what I did was started runing sideways and rotated the camera the way I was heading and gusess what the frame rate was steady 60 with vsync, and when I was runing forward normaly it would drop some times to 15 FPS WTF anyone know anything about this a fix or walkaround ???
Please HELP |

Please HELP Well logically, if you run facing forward, it'd need to load things in front of you, if you face backward but walk forward, then nothing loads on the side you're walking to, because you're not facing it. Not sure if this really is your problem though. |

| Shot in the dark I don't suppose you have tried the Fallout Stutter Remover by SkyRanger-1? Also I don't know if it would help but you could always try the Purge Cell Buffers by Quarn _________________ |

| I have both mate the strange thing is that I have steady 60fps as soon as I move it goes betwen 20 - 30 sometimes 40 there are spike lags when entering new grid and I get that cos everything in the grid have to load but if I turn my 3rd person camera to right for example and head that direction with d key the frame rate stays 50 - 60 fawlles gameplay I see everything loading that direction and its all good as soon as I go back to normal 20 to 30 fps, I DONT GET THAT ( if I cant fix that I will have to walk like a f*****g CRAB hahahha sideways) |

| So what your saying is it only lags when your walking facing the front in a direction but if you go at it walking sideways with the camera pointing in that direction its fine. _________________ |

| Yup, Thats right @Nero9369I just maxed every thing out and I gained couple of frames which does not make any sense, usualy when you raise the res and view distance etc. you loose pref unless its a bug with never GPU's, I remember trying to play Red alert 1 with GTX 650 It looked like there were on crack or speed hahahah, The thing is that my GPU is GTX 780 TI SC with 3GB of VRam and its not using the card 100% or even close its always somewhere around 70% I got an SSD just for Fallout 3 for god sake and this game still slaps me around my face But still what the hell why I get steady 60 fps with vsync when going sideways that I dont get. |

But still what the hell why I get steady 60 fps with vsync when going sideways that I dont get. probably something about the driver, check the control panel of nvidia and have a look on the option, once it fucked up my game too and i needed to reset everything, or, check the driver itself, if the problem still persist my suggestion is to check the heavily scripted mods that you got those are pretty nasty when the game is freaking out, other thing is to check the cache integrity on steam if you don't play a game for a wile sometimes files are missing. Some question: You have an enb? Injector or wrapper? You got installed the nvidia experience? _________________ My portfolio.

| Got ENB and injector as well, and gues what the game works better with the ENB 0_0 which again does not make any sense, Got nvida experience but I havent updated it for a while as the new verisons does not allow me to record gameplay of some games with shadowplay.
Injector: FXAA_Tool, can they be used together ???
EDIT: Well I'm not to sure how to fix this but follow this link. This guy put up a ton of different mods that may fix it http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1035245-performance-mods-list/
Allready did most of that I just havent done any of them fixes that actualy remove stuff from the game like dust particles etc. |

| I've found that using wrapper for enb works better than injector for performance. _________________ |

| I was having a similar issue in D.C. on New Vegas. I set the game to fake fullscreen in the enbseries.ini and set the memory settings to the correct settings for my rig and it fixed the fps drop I was getting. _________________ |

Do you mean those: [MEMORY] ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true DisableDriverMemoryManager=false DisablePreloadToVRAM=false ReservedMemorySizeMb=512 EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=false VideoMemorySizeMb=18432 EnableCompression=true so if I have 3GB of VRAM on my graphic card I should change 18432 to 3072 ??? Oh and fake full screen does not make any diference for me same fps I desibled 3.0 shaders and the game runs little bit smother. 0_0 make no sense WTF, the game is bitt too old for 3.0 i think. EDIT: I just dont get it all other games I can run 1080p ultra setings everything maxed out and i still get over 120 FPS even metro 2033 whitch runed crap on my old pc it runs even 200Fps + in some places, I know that gamebryo engine is crapily optimized but still it should run steady 30 FPS at least :/ |

| Yes that's the settings I have 8gb RAM and 3gb VRAM and these are the settings I use (I meant enblocal.ini sorry) [MEMORY] ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true DisableDriverMemoryManager=true DisablePreloadToVRAM=true EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=false ReservedMemorySizeMb=768 VideoMemorySizeMb=8192 EnableCompression=false _________________ |

| does not make mutch of a diference , the thing I still need to figure out is that why i have no lag when walking sideways only forward and back no matter which direction ia facing i get masive lag we ll 20-30 fps and sideways 60+ 0_0, thanks for the reply anyway mate, oh and even when enb is off i get that so it cant be it, to be honest the enb does not effect my game that mutch as everyone is saying maby 2fps i get less some times there is not deference in frame rate. Edit: Tale of Two wastelands runs great with the same settings, enb and everything, steady 60 with vsync and without 120+ fps there are them lagspikes when walking into new grid when fps drops to 20 for a sec but thats not the problem, maby its the mods that are coursing this but when I run fallout.esm only the game crases with my current saves, I will start fresh and see if its mods fault activating them one by one, wish me luck cos Im not sure I'll finish in this life time hahaha

| Just out of curiosity, do you have any mods that modify the forward movement animations? Does it happen with both walking and running?
This may or may not help, but I had a problem once when trying out the T6M body, that anywhere the full upper body mesh was rendered, I encountered unspeakable framerate drops (even before using an ENB). Now, since animations and NIF files are both loaded from the "Meshes" folder, maybe they're related?
Sorry if this sounds a little too out of the box, but running Windows programs in Linux has taught me to never immediately dismiss a possible solution, no matter how silly and unrelated it may sound. _________________ |

| I think I know whats wrong now and sadly I dont think there is a fix, you see as I was playing fallout 3 since early 2009 on PC my save was growing and it grew to wopping 32mb where it should be at around 12mb, I have unloaded all mods started new game walked out of vault 101 then saved the fps were steady 60-50 no lag, loaded all mods and still 60-50 no lag, so that eliminated the mods, then I looked at the save files and started diging on internet, and aparently this is my issue, well I will be able to play through the story 11th time 0_0 again, plus find all stuff and rebuild everything with RTS (LOOOONNNNNNGGGGGGGGG) |

Its not the anim's I unloaded mods lunched fresh game loaded them back and the frame rate steady 60+, I just read on the forums that large save files can course fps drop as the game need to remember where everything has to be at all times, and I tried new game and I just put too much effort into my save file I dont want to start over 11th time 0_0 oh well I still get steady 30 in most places currently so I should be all right at the moment, just have to deal with it, in the mean time I will create a plugin so that all the items I had and base layout as I did it with RTS and Fengshui will be on my fresh safe but that will take me another couple of good years LOL. IF ANYONE KNOW HOW TO EASILY CREATE ESP THAT CONTAIN ALL CURRENT ACTIVE MODS ITEMS IN ONE PLACE, PLEASE TELL Or It would be nice if the game would have walkaround when using large save files by allowing it to use all resources it needs. |

| If FPSClamp is set to 60 or an fps your game cannot sustain, it will go into a "slow mo" state.
FPSClamp is in the Fallout ini file. Also a save size can bloat a game, try not to go over like 30mb. Also merging a bunch of plugins into a single mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69905 If it has a BSA file, get a BSA file extractor. Try to organize what you merge and not mush them all together.
