Hey, I was wondering if you could somehow extend the 130 plugin limit before every texture in your game becomes teeth.

(I know that creating merged patches is an option) Is there any other way?

I don't think so.... although I thought the limit was 255? Either way, merged patches are the way to go.... the only way AFAIK. I'm sorry I can't be of more help/use.

@Spoofy Pretty much 130 plugins is the limit before you start having things get out of wack. Treat it as a hard limit. I suggest using Merge Plugin, you'll get it from the Skyrim website if I'm not mistaken. It will still work for Vegas. It's the easiest way of merging your plugins.

This is for FNV right?

If so, from my own experiences, yeah, about 130-140 is the limit for me before I start getting memory errors and black textures/exclamations marks. I think Fallout 3 could support more, but New Vegas can only support 130ish before things start getting messy. I've also found having a long list of inactivate mods clogging up your load order can cause some issues, but I can't say whether this is strictly a fact or just some weird placebo affect, but I'd really recommend keeping a pretty organised load order list, and maybe keeping any spare esp files in a separate folder if you aren't using them.

@rkelly mod limit for Fallout 4 is pretty high. I've had 150+ mods running with no issues. I think the limit is about 250.

@Spoofy Hi Spoofy, if it's for FNV, look in my signature troubleshooting FNV, there's an article where I describe how i personaly merge plugins, using FNV plugins utility. The problem is also the resources demanding plugins : 130 plugins requesting x amount of resources, merged into 100 plugins request almost the same amount of resources... so choose wisely.
• [I know that creating merged patches is an option] = serves only to make mods compatible in a certain way, doesn't work for leveled list that must be treated manually or with wrye bash, see my sig.
• [I was wondering if you could somehow extend the 130 plugin limit before every texture in your game becomes teeth] = in fact, all the resources that need to be loaded are guilty, textures, meshes, bsa files, but also...code : esm/esm and...scripts that may overload the game engine and create a latency that prevents things to be executed in due time.
