| Hello GUN Community!
Recently i've having this problem in New Vegas, just in outdoors i'ts like the world is divided by two kind of frame rate, when i look to a certain direction there's the normal fps my game would have, but if i look to the opposite direction fps drops out of nowhere, even if i'm looking to a wall. This already happened to me once but i don't remember how i fixed it.
My specs:
Intel Pentium CPU N3540 @ 2.16GHz
4GB RAM
Please help. _________________ - Kek:

| @ElMaldito Too much resources to load, particularly textures, (RAM) graphics effect, (GPU), meshes, RAM and processing. Temporarily, test and disable via your mod manager some of your heaviest mods, or simply test unticking all the esp/esm. Be sure there are no high rez loose files textures in data/textures, (2048x2048), if not rename temporarilly the texture folder to force FNV to use vanilla bsa. Hope this helps |

| @ElMaldito you can also test here if your rig meet the recommended requirements. Be aware that recommended requirements are... a begining, only for non heavy modded game as modded game can drastically require much more resources. Be also aware that FNV is an old game and depending on the game engine limitation itself and also operating system, your resources are probably not fully used, even with the 4GB patch, NVAC, etc...

| I had this same problem with "FCO - Glowing Ghouls", their glowing effect made my game lag like hell. _________________ Walking down an unknown road |

| Yeah i read on some forums about that same issue, but i don't use FCO, now i deleted a lot of retextures that i had plus book of steel, but the problem persists. _________________ - Kek:

| @ElMaldito deactivate or simply begin by unticking all of your mods and test with only DLCs. If it doesn't work, I haven't sayed my last word, make sure you don't have high poly models in replacement in your meshes folder. To ensure that, rename also temporarilly this folder to force FNV to use vanilla bsa files. If you have missing meshes, then you have a mod always activated. Ensure those two things are done at the same time to not invalidate the test result. |

| i also forgot to mention that i was deleting meshes that i will no longer use as well, i'll try that thing about unchecking the mods, thank you. _________________ - Kek:

| If you have checked correctly the things above and none work, I suggest : 1/revert your *.ini files to original, simply delete them and verify game cache, right click on the systray steam icon/my games/Fallout new vegas in the left column = right-click/property and then local files/check game files integrity or sth like that 2/ If you have an ENB, deactivate it. Then open the vanilla launcher to make an auto-detect of your hardware, then test again. |

| Is it the same direction regardless of where you are in the map or does it change if you go to another region? |

| Yup, it's the same god damn direction no matter where i was, i don't use ENBs btw.
So i deleted a lot of textures/meshes, some mods and even erased my stutter remover .ini to see if that was the problem, but it didn't fix it, so i restarted my computer and went into the game, and its running normal now, no fps loss, maybe the texture/meshes did the thing and just after i restarted the sistem was when it made effect, i dunno, i'll leave this post without a "fixed" tag to see if someone can tell me how this shit was fixed so it'll never happen again. Thanks darkstyler for the tips
I'll try to get my mods checked and hopefully nothing bad happens. _________________ - Kek:

| This is a really long shot but in which direction you experience the FPS loss? |

| @ElMaldito it's simple, you have deleted/uninstalled most of the things your rig and game couldn't handle. As I said, a modded game requires so much more resources to be loaded and to work correctly and the game engine and operating system combined have some limitations, so you must adapt what you're asking to them. Reinstall mods progressively and take also the time to have a look in the bsa files/loose files provided with each mod, to see if they have high rez textures /models and use a software to reduce their size to vanilla counterpart. Even doing this is often not enough because of the number of extra-textures / resources your mods ask to load, 4Gb is quickly reached. You must choose your mods wisely

| Yeah i recently installed some retextures but i didn't thought it was that bad, is it bad or game-breaking if i install some mod that doesn't alter textures/meshes? for example a quest mod which alter some locations, or a player home mod that uses the vanilla resources. _________________ - Kek:

| @ElMaldito You can experiment, it's the best way to know. Your computer can't really hande a lot of high resolution textures though, but know your limits. darkstyler pretty much told you everything you must know. _________________ Walking down an unknown road |

No, all will be ok, just take care to the scripts too, because a bunch of heavy scripts in several mods combined can create a latency that can prevent vanilla scripts / events to function properly or in due time. even if your rig could process this, the game has it's limitations |

| Well known issue. Going on the research I've done, the problem cannot be fixed. The issue is even present in Skyrim Legendary Edition (Oldrim) and it doesn't always have anything to do with having a low-end rig or high-res textures. The 32-bit version of the engine is just terrible when trying to render resources, particularly lights, a multitude of NPCs and shadows. Beyond Skyrim Bruma suffered from this in the Bruma city, primarily due to the fact the Beyond Skyrim Bruma development team opted to make the city open, i.e. no load doors to get into it. Dead Money is terrible for me in the areas around the fountain. Even with my 1080Ti and 4790K (still a great CPU) go from 60FPS to 25-30 in that area. Almost all of these issues disappeared when Skyrim Special Edition, a 64-bit version, was released. The problem places were no longer problems. Unfortunately, I doubt we'll ever see vanilla New Vegas/FO3 get a 64-bit release. Having said that, there are a small percentage of machine setups out there (hardware lottery?) that don't have these issues and it doesn't usually have to do with having stronger rigs or anything like that. In fact, my 2500K with an XFX 7890 BE GPU performed much better in New Vegas with mods than my 980Ti and 1080Ti cards. _________________ - MY MODS & MODS I'VE CONTRIBUTED TO:
