My favorite is Boone, he is really tough and a great shot with his hunting rifle. I am a guns kind of person, so I've gotten pretty good with a sniper rifle, but he absolutely destroys me.

Vanilla: Arcade Gannon and ED-E
Mod: Willow

I'd have to say Willow just because of the sheer amount of work done.

For vanilla, I'd say it's a tie between Veronica and ED-E. I like how ED-E approximates emotion with different tones of beeps. Veronica has spunk, is nice, and I have a mod that gives her Tali's outfit from ME3. I can't remember where I got it, but it definitely wasn't on the Nexus.

In vanilla NV, my favorite is Boone or Cass. "Eat this" never gets old and when trying to sneak past Deathclaws, hilarity ensues. I like Cass because she's a drunk, no BS kind of gal. With mods, my favorite are Russell, from... well... Russell, and Sky from Strangers Abroad. Both are great and are part of high quality quest mods.

Mods: Sky or Niner (Because I can punch sky in the face for being stupid, and because Niner is the Man.)

Vanilla: Gannon or Ed-e (Ed-e was my first, and Gannon just really impressed me as a character)

Mods: Its willow, Willow - the best companion in my opinion...
Vanila: I like the Cass... He is have a cool history

I like Willow because I find her physique pretty hot and Niner because he reminds me of someone I used to know haha!

Cpt. Rex's Deadpool companion for sure. Obviously not vanilla, but it makes the game so much more interesting and hilarious with him.

Niner is a pretty odd and funny mod just some of the things he says brighten up the game.

Vanila:Veronica and ED-e, love Veronica's story on mixed feelings about the Brotherhood's goal
Modded: Russell because he feels like that missing companion that the game needs, along with a great storyline. And Ulysses because I felt like he is my true partner in crime and thanks to the mod I can have the shadow of the bull

Vanilla: Tie between Veronica and Boone. Like Veronica's sass and optimism. I find her cute. Boone, however, is the most plausible follower for my character. I'm currently playing as a low-karma'd badass that sides with the NCR as a means to an end to wipe out the Legion - so having Boone around makes a lot of sense. Plus, he doesn't talk much.
Modded: In my top 5 video-games of all time, KOTR and FNV would make the list. That being said, the HK-47 mod makes me so happy! Having the actual dialogue from the game makes me feel super nostalgic. The best part of it is, even though it's a bizarre crossover - with all the weird s**t RobCo cranks out, it's kind of lore-friendly if you don't read too much into it.

I kind of agree, though Willow takes some breaking in before she starts making sense. I don't really get why I should help some random chick get her teddy bear and rifle back from 20+ raiders. Honestly killing that many people for a few scrappy possessions is a pretty psychopathic thing to do.
