I really liked hearing what people had to say about their most hated Fallout character, and wanted to hear what people thought about who was their favorite companion in either Fallout 3 or Fallout New Vegas. I'll start off by saying that Boone from New Vegas is my favorite companion. He's good in combat, but other than that, I enjoy his story. He's a hardass, a man on a mission, and a perfect representation of wasteland justice. Someone wrongs you, kill them. Alright everybody, ready? Set? GO!

Veronica and ED-E, I wouldn't play fallout anymore without them!

Veronica, Lily, and ED-E in New Vegas, Butch and Dogmeat in Fallout 3 (Fallout 3 was always lacking in companions tbh)

My favorite is Cass,   She also has a pretty interesting story along with a smart and badass personality.  And I never leave home without her whiskey perks.

Veronica is a very interesting character, I like how innocent and naive she still is because of how closed off the Brotherhood wants to be. Cass is a good one too, though she's never really my first choice to be a companion. I'm surprised that nobody chose Arcade yet!

I'm going to go with Rex and Raul.

I mean, dogs are awesome, and this time it's a badass cyber dog. A dog with a freakin' brain tank and robotics attached to it's legs... As for Raul? He's got hilarious lines, nothing he says is boring, and come on, he's Danny Trejo.

Dogs are awesome! And cyberdogs are pretty sweet themselves I like Rex. Not much on the character side but you get a dog companion, what more could you really ask for? Raul is great, he's funny, sarcastic, and Danny Trejo! Ever give Raul a machete? get it?

Yeah, on the other hand, Rex is supposed to be a dog, and he is a dog and acts like one, so he does his character really well in that matter. Of course I get that reference  

Arcade's quest and lines are great too, it's just so hard to decide when all the companions were really well made and unique. His insults are especially funny, it's like they're from a dictionary.

Oh good, I was afraid somebody would be like "Whaat does that even mean?". Yeah understandable, every character is very different and has their own additions that they bring to the table. Yes his insults are hilarious, he's such a nerdy dude with a plasma pistol that melts things

Yeah Veronica and ED-E are great. ED-E is just a cool robot but Veronica is nice to have out in the lonely wasteland. And not for that reason Just brightens up a long walk between towns

Yeah seriously, if you feel lonely in the wasteland take Veronica with you. She's tough and can hold her own, but she's a chipper little girl at heart .

I'm here to claim Arcade Gannon!  Sometimes I play my females at 1 Intelligence and wow is it a hoot!  She gets different dialogue sometimes and it's always funny.  Arcade will go with her as a companion because she's so dumb!  I just love him!  When I play males, most of them are gay so I always grab Arcade right away.

My overall pair would be Cass and ED-E, and that's not just because they're the first two you encounter, save that Cass' quest is a pain. ED-E is a cute, quirky little robot that has a tragic backstory revealed by Lonesome Road, and Cass is the origin of the greatest quote in the series: "Nobody's dick's that long, not even Long Dick Johnson. And he had a fucking long dick."
Nobody could stop us. Except for Quarry Junction when they died 20 times.

I really liked Vincent Vincent, He's a follower that's not bland and despite not having all the bells and whistles of followers like niner and willow. Dialouge wise he's fantastic. Give him a try http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55266/?

Ok so I don't remember that quote at all, but it's fantastic I can't say I know much about ED-E. People seem to like him as a companion though! Quarry junction is a fun little place to die over and over

Boon is probably my favorite because he reminds me of batman.

For Fallout 3 it was Dogmeat and RL-3, even if it was difficult for me to keep neutral karma for him to stick around.

Fallout New Vegas was Rex and a tossup between Veronica and Cass. Before I get Rex I'll Use ED-E, but I find he gets in a way a lot when navigating vaults. If we want to consider mods it opens up way too many people who rotate following me around.

Fallout is Dogmeat, and Fallout 2 is Marcus.
