So just now half an hour ago I decided to spice up my juicy game with like 20 Millenia weapon mods I hadn't installed yet.
So there I couldn't wait to rob that madman Doc Mitchells bunker of weaponry and most like some weird armours from here and pick up some guns and a fitting Tachanka armour I found a few minutes prior.
But when I decided to step foot inside that haunted house most props decided to become the red triangles as they always wanted.
Me slowly realizing something was up decided to go outside and then I noticed the entire world had gone to hell.
The grass behaved like a dead imp from the first Doom.
Then the game crashed so fast. I wish it would quit like that everytime I try to exit the game.

And when I realized my loadorder was 142 plugins I realized what my mistake was knowing from the time Nexus mod manager warned me going over 135 mods in fallout 4 was a bad move.

So after uninstalling most new mods I had just installed and going back into my trusty game All of my quicksaves and autosaves were gone.
Then and there I was staring at my screen like a quinea pig with a vietnam flashback for a minute long.

Luckily I noticed not too long ago I had saved my game to make way for a new save where I tested a companion mod meant to go along with your first trip to vegas and I did near nothing after continueing from that save.

Very suprising how you can play 3 hours of Fallout New Vegas but redo that session in less than half an hour.




After this dumb novel I just wrote I wish to ask the real questions though.
So after how many plugins does the game go bad?
Was it just a weapon mod from Millenia?
Is there a way to increase the total plugins limit?

Fallout New Vegas can generally handle around 130 mods but this varies from system to system. For instance on my old PC, my limit before things in game went crazy was 130 but with my new laptop its 132.

For increasing plugin limits, while the hard cap is at 140 (This includes base game and DLC as plugins) the best option is to use a plugin merger. I like to use this one: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/69905/?

Don't worry I know it says Skyrim but it explains how to use it for all Bethesda titles. Essentially with that you're just doing what the title entails, merging esps together.

Thanks this will really help out in the long run aswell. I was at a constant point of maxing the load order in Fallout 4 and Skyrim aswell so when I come back to those games I can use this one aswell.
