| As you know, FO3 and FNV have a limit on plugins which turns around 140. Beyond this rough limit, the game engine has a tendency to be on the blink. 140, that’s not much compared to my 300+ mods. So I had to find a solution. Merge Plugins by matortheeternal was this solution, until I decided to use Mod Organizer 2 instead of the original MO. Indeed, Merge Plugins doesn’t seem to work with MO2. Recently I discovered a new method to merge my plugins, a very simple one, and I want to introduce it here because it has been a life-saviour to me. zMerge, which is a part of the tool zEdit created by matortheeternal (yes, him again), is an updated method to merge plugins with MO2. It’s very easy to use, just do no select the “Copy General Assets” option in the Data section because apparently it doesn’t work very well at the moment. Once your .esp are merged, you can desactivate all your original plugins in your load order and tick your new merged .esp. Very handy! So I recommend this little tool if you are tired to have to remove several mods in order to make space. Now you can use all the mods you want - Download Link:

See you. |

| Very handy tool there thanks.
I'm assuming it works with Vortex as well? |

| @McKaby I don't use Vortex but I think you can make it work with every mod manager. |

| Can definitely vouch for zMerge. Been using it for a couple months and have had no real issues. |

| @Prosp3ro Sorry for the necro, but I'm curious what problems you had with MergePlugins on MO2? I haven't experienced any issues on MO2 and it's the only merging program I use. Will definitely check out zMerge too though so thank you for that _________________ ____________________________________________________________

| Solution to what?
I would assume it would work with the game, does it not? _________________ ____________________________________________________________

@ Tribal Raven is correct. Either zMerge or Merge Plugins works just as well with FO4 and even SSE. MO 2 also handles either with ease. I still use the original Merge Plugins because I'm used to it, but that is not a dig at zMerge in any way. |

| I can't get the damned program to work through MO2. Or I should say, it worked yesterday, and won't work today. I can run it from its own folder, which does me absolutely no good, since I can't access the mods I want to word. Just spend 18 hours downloading and installing Lexy's LOTD build. Now I need to merge, and zEdit is not working. SSEEdit works just fine through MO2. I have tried reinstalling zEdit and it still doesn't work. When I check in Task Manager there are a bunch of icons showing multiple versions, up to ten, all running. I was able to make one merge with Merge Plugins, but it wouldn't merge two that were from the same mod, so that is a bust as well. I know there had to be a simple explanation, but I can't find it on the net. System specs, Windows 10 64 bit, i07 8 core running at 3.5 GHZ (can run faster, but have problems with overheating) 128 GB ram, twin GTX 1080 Nvidea cards SLI with 16 GB combined Video Ram. |
