| @Wertologist Idk either. I had a gtx 1070 i5 4690. 16gb ddr3. And I get 30-50 fps. 60 fps on Fallout 4 and Skyrim SE |

- So I guess again the substance of my thread has already been hinted to by the title aha. But essentially, would you recommend TTW for a player like me, who is very big on immersion? How "natural" does the gameplay and the link between DC and the Mojave feel
To give some context I'm currently on my second playthrough of Fallout 3, and I'm considering abandoning it due to me finding the gameplay too easy, coupled with the repetitive nature of the more linear story. Not saying 3 isn't a good game, I'm just finding it difficult to sustain another playthrough. It might be a bit strange going from the Capital Wasteland to Nevada so if you are very big on immersion that might not be the best. Having TTW will give you some interesting play through and change of pace however since you have to have Fallout New Vegas to have TTW you already have Fallout New Vegas, so you don't have to have TTW. If you haven't had a chance to play FNV itself, then you might be doing yourself a disservice playing TTW before playing FNV a few times itself. I view TTW as an excellent extention of a game play for someone that has played their fill of both Fallout 3 and Fallout NV. _________________ |

| Thanks. I hope you guys don't mind one more question - mods that change game values (so "Economy Overhaul" for New Vegas, or mods that add weapons to level lists..etc), would they also apply to the D.C wasteland? or would I have to download separate Fallout 3 equivalents? Also, how does hardcore mode work with D.C? There harvestable plants or campfires (I know they aren't essential but still..) |

I'm really not sure about economy mods. In theory, they should work perfectly fine with TTW, but I'm not sure if they would affect DC traders or not. Mods that alter weapon lists do in fact work in DC, although you'll still run into more "DC weapons" like the assault rifle and such. Some mods like Millenia's can sometimes put one of their guns in the DC lists. If I'm not mistaken, I think Weapons of the New Millenia mod has a TTW option or something. It's not like it would hurt to try. It's not like it'll break your game if the DC level lists don't have those guns. They will still show up in NV. If you really want a gun, you could always open up the GECK and place a few in DC. That's what I do. Hardcore works perfectly fine. They went around and added a few nutfruit plants around and added campfires in some areas. If you do get TTW, then I highly recommend TTWInteriors. It will give you access to both the Megaton house and Tenpenny house. Both are made bigger and offer more themes and features like reloading benches, SS machines, and a working stove. On a side note of the mod, it adds a bunch of new lootable buildings in both DC and NV with new misc objects like small lamps, pictures, TVs, etc. It also overhauls the Novac house and alters the Lucky 38. The lucky 38 is largely left vanilla so minor mods altering that cell are usually fine, but it just adds a door to a whole new area. Think about a more fleshed out Penthouse floor(the one where House's computer monitor is located). It's a large circular penthouse. Plenty of room and storage. It's a little too fancy for me, but to each their own. Another small feature of TTWInteriors is that it brings casinos to DC. Tenpenny Tower has a casino now and you can play games there. Moriarty's saloon also has a blackjack game and humorously, 10% of your winnings go to the deathclaw foundation(making a joke on Moriarty's greedy nature). So, if you get TTWInteriors, avoid mods that alter the Megaton house, the Tenpenny suite, the Novac room, the Atomic Wrangler , the Lucky 38(small basic ones theoretically should be fine), and any purchasable vanilla homes I may be leaving out. |

| My favorite part about TTW is being able to plat FO3 with mods that are only out for NV, like Project Nevada and Quick Loot. FNV has many of the same assets, so mods that change NV usually effect FO3. There's also an abundance of mods for TTW you can find here: https://taleoftwowastelands.com/content/updated-ttw-mod-directory. Definitely would recommend. _________________ - This is my Sig:

| I have too much mods which conflicts with eachother so TTW is out of question and I like to keep my games separate. I like my FO3 with Wanderers Edition and NV with Project Nevada. _________________ Walking down an unknown road |

| I don't use TTW to add Fallout 3 because I only add Lore friendly content to my game. :^^^)
(Relax, I'm just shitposting) I personally not a big fan of Fallout 3, but if that's your thing go for it. Though I hear there's a big update coming for it soon and I'm not sure if it will break saves to update to it. |

| How do I actually install TTW mods (ie: TTW Interiors/TTW streetlights). I'm using NMM.. do I install them to Fallout 3, or NV? |

Step 1: stop using NMM Step 2: install Mod Organizer NMM doesn't always clean up after itself properly, which defeats the purpose of a mod manager. It also can't manage overwritten files. Mod Organizer on the other hand creates a virtual folder for your mods, meaning the NV folder is completely untouched. But to answer your question, you just put them into the whatever mod manager you're using like any ofther mod. Hope this helps! |

| Absolutely! It's one of the best mods for any game I've ever played through, and easy as pie to install as long as you use anything but NMM. If you don't wanna learn the ins and outs of MO, FOMM installs it without any issues. _________________ |

Hmm, that's weird. I was just on it the other day and it isn't working now. Maybe it moved, but I couldn't find it again. I'll post again if I do. _________________ - This is my Sig:

When using TTW you install all your mods into Fallout New Vegas. Nothing is installed in Fallout 3. If you do use TTW I would advise to clean up and keep clean (install) of Fallout 3 so that you can go back and create a fresh TTW when there are updates. It makes things easier and is advised to use a clean Fallout 3 for creation of the TTW files to install into your FNV game. NMM will work however unlike MO there will be an extra step... or more exactly some different steps for MO. NMM you have to create a FMOD. Not sure if you can do that with NMM. Might need to get a copy of FOMM to do this. Not sure. With MO there is a .txt file that is generated for MO during the creation process that you use to create your TTW folder. Quite easy, just drag and drop the files you need/want into it. and then drop that folder into MO/Mods folder. No FMOD creation, installation or whatever. Start the game, make sure the load order /install order (for comflicts ) is correct and you are good to go. I could create a TTW install in about 10 minutes or less. Takes far longer with FOMM and I never used NMM. (not sure if they... the creators of TTW support NMM for TWW, might want to check that out before you hose your FNV install) _________________ |

It's up again for me right now. If it wont work for you, here's a google doc that was on that page that is apparently more up to date: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1gsHGGTeLY6mwipoVp4BWIdEanaorx9fk1a9nFrARCxw/edit#gid=0 _________________ - This is my Sig:

| I prefer FOMM for esm / esp / UI management. I select retextures and remeshes manually. Back up your vanilla install for fast and simple reinstalls. Mod organizer's or Nexus Mod Manager's virtual installations will stress out your SSD with those links. Here's the performance guide I wrote, endorsed by the TTW team. https://taleoftwowastelands.com/content/ttw-performance-guide
