If you could pick any type of energy weapon. Which one would it be? I mostly prefer plasma-based guns since it melts things into green goo or a pile of flesh. Its gross but slightly entertaining!

@Nesster I may be biased but it's gotta be Tesla. Weapon or armor, there's nothing cooler than high energy bolts of electricity flying off your character

@quicksilver500 I'd say Tesla is a good choice too! It's pretty powerful, and the Telsa Cannon is pretty lightweight from what the Wikipedia says.

Plasma because it looks so badass and feels like I'm shooting something alien. It works best while using Power Armour to give the effect of being an unstoppable killing machine.

What @Corvo said the plasma is badass and is totally different than any other energy weapon. It just looks so cool and unique in the Fallout universe.

Like what a lot of people are also saying im going to have to go with Plasma. 

In any of the Fallout games that I have played there has been nothing similar to that of plasma based weapons making them pretty unique. Also just that high tech sci-fi look and design of plasma based weapons with the tubes and the unique barrels that looks like a vacuum tube was really a seller for me. Usually im more into using your standard lead shooter but something about plasma really makes me want to do more then just collect it and display it.

I'm so conflicted, because I like them all equally! But in terms of what I like the most, I think it's plasma... but even then, I use laser more than plasma because its quicker and (I like to think) more precise.

Right now, though, I'm using quicksilver's Tesla weapon pack and I gotta say... I'm loving it. The revolver and shotgun really let my future-cowboy flag fly.

Gauss Rifle. Because it's high-tech, badass looking, have great damage (one of the bests). And more than this i like concept of how this weapon working and killing things.

Mine would have to be the Laser Rifle.

The gatling laser for sure. For maximum freedom expended per second.

Gauss Rifle. If you are familiar with the sexy beast known as the YCS-186, now thats a good bang.

Also there should have been a gatling plasma. Now that would be pretty badass!

@Nesster if you took the wild wasteland perk it's unobtainable

Crap I have wild wasteland on. At least the alien blaster has moderate firepower.

Go with the classic and (relatively) simple Laser Rifle.

I think all energy weapons is good, but my favorite is Gauss rifle (YCS 186)

Ive loved the Plasma Rifle since it fell into my arms from an exploding Enclave Soldier.
