Definitely the Gauss Rifle.

Still have fond memories from Broken Steel.

Plasma Defender for close range combat and/or casual situations where I want to seem friendly but still be armed.
Laser RCW for general combat, especially if being assaulted by multiple parties at once.
Gauss Rifle for long-range combat and sniping.
Green variant of Tank-Girl's Dooku lightsaber from her Jedi pack for melee range combat.

My favorite energy weapons would have to be the

1. Tesla Cannon/ Tesla-Beaton Prototype 
2. AER-14 Prototype
3. Wazer Wifle 
4. Q-35 Matter Modulator 
5.Alien Blaster/Firelance 
6. Mesmetron/Microwave Emitter

You see I am a sucker for Energy Weapons. Although I do not use EVE anymore because I find it excessive in terms of its vfx, I enjoy turning people to goo and ashes.

Hmm I'm pretty sure Gauss Rifle in Fallout 4 isn't a energy weapon.

@GhostCR0 Yeah, my bad. Got confused with the original Gauss Rifle. I'll edit that out. Thanks for the heads up! 

The Gauss Rifle is probably my favorite, probably because it reminds me of a ballistic weapon. (At least in Fallout 3 and New Vegas.) I'm not much of an energy weapons guy to begin with, but yeah I'd say that the Gauss Rifle takes the cake.

Seeming like the Gauss Rifle is a common favorite.

I love the Holorifle from Dead Money. While it's inferior to the Gauss Rifle (which I do like as well), it's bleed effect is a favorite of mine, and holds just a few more shots before having to reload. It's also great for close and long range fights. Certainty a one-of-kind weapon. Elijah's a crafty old fart! =D

I probably go with Gatling Laser even though I don't use guns that often just because of how much damage it does (In my game tho) and I kind of like how it looks so there's that

The holorifle hands down. It's just too unique to pass up. Second to that would probably be the plasma thrower. It wasn't necessarily the strongest but it certainly looked great.

Gauss Rifle. Definitely.

I remember when I first got my hands on it in Fallout 3. I was litteraly drooling at the mouth.
