Raiders are said among many to be the absolute scum of the wasteland. They have no value of life, especially the life of others. The most notorious raiders in Fallout are the Fiends. They are raiders who were extremely addicted to Chems, so addicted that their minds have basically become animalistic and will kill you, or worse if they want. Now, the big question I wanted to ask my fellow GUN members is if you're in a post apocalyptic setting like Fallout, would you become a raider? There are multiple Raider gangs in Fallout with varying principles. Some are all out animalistic with the intent of killing whenever the chance. There are some who have a more survival of the fittest mindset and will do anything to keep themselves alive even if it means killing, robbing, or even worse acts. For me, it would have to be based on their principles. Remember, there are some gangs that will only kill and rob when they see it most necessary. A good example of this is the Great Khans. Yes, I may be stretching it a bit since they're a tribe, but their history as a tribe was for them raiding villages and robbing people(along with selling drugs). Unlike most Raider gangs, they at least have morals. They won't kill you right off the bat. They have more or less a system of respect for their members and outsiders. Anyways, enough with the history lessons. Would you become a Raider or not?

Hell no !!!!! Be a psychopath, a junkie, without pride or respect for anything or anyone .... no, surely not.
I see more life as a fight where everybody has to give the best of either, being a raider is choosing the easy way and the worst that humanity can offer.
But this is just my way of thinking.

Hell yeah! I wouldn't be into killing so much, but I would totally be down for forcing another human to pick my tato plants for me. Who among us wouldn't jump at the chance to live selfishly? I'd call my little band of raiders 'The Barracudas'.

One could say that all of Western Europe was founded on the backs of raiders. Really, what were the Franks if not a very successful group of raiders?

Yeah I'd probably eventually organize a group of "raiders", in the long term it seems like the best way to make a dent in the wasteland. We'd raid the rich and give to the poor, well, like 25% to the poor... maybe 15%. We'd call ourselves "the hoods!" or maybe, "the Robins!" no, no, wait, "The Hood Robins!"

The Brotherhood of Steel are basically raiders. Sure they don't actively go out and pillage towns but if they find a wanderer with tech they have no qualms about taking it by force, killing for it if they see fit. I could fall into a group like that, as in my many romps through the wasteland I've killed plenty of people for their shit. But the whole enslaving, raping, pillaging, and burning thing I can't get into.

I don't know, fuck it, if I had to either be a settler or a raider... I would become a raider. I'd be a modern Viking, pillage, burn, kill, and drink a shit ton of beer and call it a day, sounds good to me.

No, because raider bands have no future - they only like to live in the moment. Unlike the NCR, BoS, Enclave, and the Shi, raiders have no ambition for future expansion and technological advances. Their crude arsenal of weapons and lack of real intelligence leaves them little to nothing but as waste of bullets for the other factions. Raiders in Fallout 2 were well-organized in terms of technology and taking over certain vaults as headquarters, but raiders in Fallout 3 and above are a poor and shallow design. At least Raiders in FO2 knew enough to leave the doc alive in Vault 15.

Nah. I'd be like Jericho in FO3. Might settle down after adventuring and help a town from raiders. Don't have the heart to kill innocent people, honestly. No issues with robbing them blind, though. It ain't bad if you don't get caught, then it's only bad for you.

I wanna say I'd join a more noble faction but honestly, in a wasteland, weaponry equals power, and raiders generally have more weaponry than a small town.

I would join a band of raiders that was a tad smarter than your average Fallout gang though, smart enough to not immediately kill everything, rather just capture the town and keep the farmer than can make food for you alive.

Oh yes in a heart beat I would make my own group of guys like me we will set out and kill anything and anyone in our way destroy buildings blow up vehicles set fire to crops maybe drugs but I find no use for them as most drugs hinder your ablity to fight and seek targets find people hiding beat them to a pulp mostly with a hammer then hang them upside down by their guts with their throat slit as our signature kill for second to last man alive the other we would let go with a broken mind to warn others of our coming retribution upon the land if they can make any sense out of what they're saying. It would be fun could I find the right type of people to work with me but I doubt it.

Not me, I would not be able to kill, steel etc. (other raider things) for no reason form people that already dont have much for them self's, that's why in Nuka World I like Operators the most, would kill them off all if there would be a way to keep Gage, but as he becomes hostile when I try to get rid of raiders I'm stuck with Operators they take stuff from people but at least they dont kill or torture for fun like other gangs, I'm a good guy until you get on my bad side than I can become your nightmare

No, but I doubt must Raiders become Raiders by choice.
If I could choose what I could be, Raider would come near the bottom that list.

Ehh... probably not. Even out of desperation. That and most raiders are chem addicts. I'd probably rather be a Punisher type character.
