What's the difference between the steam version and GOG's? I know GOG version is DRM free, but what are the advantages does it bring? Does it crash less?

I guess you still need all the anti-crashing methods to run the game better, but I really have no idea. Though if you read comments on GOTY gog page, it works fairly good.

I have GFWL version, but since I know how to run my game I didn't buy gog version. I bought New Vegas though, if I want to play it without Steam just in case.

I have it on Steam too, but sadly it keeps crashing on me because good lord...the only way to play it is through TTW. Sad to know that its the only way to play it that wont crash it to hell.

What I tried Fallout 3 GOG works like a dream , didnt have to config anything

frames are lost in a few areas but aside that fairly stable and mods did work as well

people may now even give FO3 a try and not spit and **** in its simple mention
