| Well we just basically got told lots of VR stuff and micro transaction hell for Fallout 4.
I see the modders that wish to sell being ripped off again. Customers being taken advantage of though these micro-transactions.
Fallout 4 VR, we all know Gameworks is like a cancer for the game. If they do not implement a no gameworks option, or put in GPUOpen Well if you do not have a 500/600-2k dollar processor and 600-1k worth of AMD GPU's its going to be lag hell in VR.
I said the micro-transactions were coming, Beta was the steam paid mods, phase one is the mod workshop in both Fallout 4 and the remastered SKyrim game, the last phase is this mod club or whatever they called it... paid mods. Milking the community for every last penny they will attempt to control the mod community with this, and make it so all mods go though them at some point. With all the products being pumped out yeah Bethesda is going the ways of EA at this point. _________________ AAA Environment Artist & Modeler, US Army Combat Vet, Full Sail University Alumni |

| Yeah, they've been banging the payed mod drum for a while now. It really is a shitty move to already rely on modders to fix your games bugs and everything (it's a good thing Beth at least fixed the bugs for SSE, right? /s) but then to take a cut of it.... |

| This was honestly (IMHO) the most disappointing E3 both for Microsoft and Bethesda. I was reallyyy holding out hope that they would have listened to everyone's complaints and announced something new for fallout, but instead we got paid modding and VR. At least Wolfenstein looks good.. _________________ |

| I'm not sure if Pete had stage fright, or was legit embarrassed by some of the stuff he was presenting. Not a lot of enthusiasm there.
Glad to see another Wolfenstein, but it's not something worth as the final showing imo. The FO4 VR sounds fun, but it's a gimmick that only so many people can access.

| I'm not paying for anything, unless the damn game is free. I'm sick of companies that go this way. _________________ |

| Creation Club is optional though, dunno what's the funk about it?
Yeah, Bethesda seems to not realize how they've blown fans' minds with previous conferences. This year was VR which isn't that great rn, dishonored continuity no one asked for, Evil Within 2 and Wolfenstein 2. The elder scrolls stuff was only there for promotion since they were already released. Just proves everybody has a swing and a miss moment. |

| The internet right now is broken thanks to Wolfenstein. Don't even mention that one haha.
Honestly, VR is a fad marketed towards normies. Just like 3d movies, let's see how long this fad lasts. _________________ |

| It felt like a joke. I can't figure out what happened with Bethesda this time. 2015's E3 showcase was epic, with loads of content shown from various developers. Two years later, they make a Twitch live, 4 hours long, but they only show what they're up to in the last 38 minutes (hilarious isn't it). All of us got the opportunity to watch the "show" for free, but I feel really bad for those who spent their money in assisting, expecting great quality content, such as the reveal of those new Bethesda Games Studios' secret projects.
So, what do we get this 2017? Vr versions of already existing games (meh), a bunch of sequels ( which may be good, we'll see), PAID MODS STRIKE BACK, and a few expansion packs, apart from Quake champions which had already been announced.
I want to be clear: sequels can be good, but there's a limit and some circumstances where I don't like sequels being published. I.e., Wolfenstein's story had already finished, and Dishonored production is growing so fast it's starting to smell like Call of Duty (no offense but in my opinion more than a year is required to make a good game that doesn't feel exactly like its predecessor, although I understand people liking the game; some folk actually want the same formula year after year, and I'm okay with that. It's just an opinion I don't share).
One iteration of a game is good, original, unique and innovative, but after a certain number of games, the formula starts to rot and lacks the innovation and uniqueness the first game had. If you add to that the fact that every year you're making one game, the process is even faster. That was one of the reasons I like Bethesda Games Studios and Obsidian Entertainement's games, because following the same steps in every game, they spent enough time to figure out how to make a different experience.
Divagations aside and to sum up, this conference was useless and had no point. I expected a 2015 leveled conference, with Bethesda's new IP's reveal, and what we get instead is a Bethesdaland video and Pete Hines appearing in the stage to say 'that's all'.

| They are a company and their job is to make money, btw I don't know what they expected with this forced paid mods. Enabling donations on bethnet would have been more friendly. Also the horse armor in the trailer it's a clear fuck you lol |

| I don't know really, that Fallout 4 VR is kinda...stupid which is sway-swinging all over like that minigun try to shooting at deathclaw, no hands model animation?! it doesn't look satisfying when you reload the gun, well maybe to me. |

| Yeah, does make me think bethesda does not give a shit about the modding community. They only care about the financial aspect of it. We really didn't get any stable software from them to mod Fo4 and we had to figure it out ourselves about animating for that game in the first place and the engine is such disgusting. |

Seeing how they've taken the chance to get profit, I'll go further and say Bethesda now doesn't give a shit about the modding community because money, money never changes. _________________ AID AT A MINUTE'S NOTICE! |

| Fallout 4 VR seemed totally unneeded. Having VR wont make your game any less crap Bethesda. Im surprised they didn't go all out and give Skyrim remastered VR support, just to really piss people off. Still holding out hope that Obsidian goes back about 8 years and has infinitely more resources, and Bethesda gives in to demands and hands the Fallout license to them. Imagine having New Vegas level fallout's every 5-6 years or so. _________________ |

| I feel the same as everyone else. Bethesda dropped the ball here big time. Although I think a VR Fallout is a neat idea, it's upsetting that they didn't have much of anything unique or that sounded good to be excited about. Plus didn't they learn anything from the paid mod fiasco before? Go home Bethesda you're drunk... _________________ |

The Obsidian that made New Vegas is not the Obsidian that exists today. Most of the team that comprised of previous Black Isle/Troika employees have since left and moved on to other studios after bethesda fucked them on their contract. Not even Chris Avellone is still around. I hate to sound cynical but the dream is over. There will be many RPGs in the future, maybe even some attempts at CRPGs, but none of them will ever be like the old school fallout games. |

| Saddly I think that Bethesda's strategy nawadays is to make a about 50 perent of a game release the rest as dlc and let the modders fix all of the bugs before jumping up and saying how much they support the modding community.
Granted I think most companies are doing that now. |

| Creation Club? this is funny reading this thread you people seem surprised you for one second thought an American company actually cared about you and your little game? no these cocksuckers only care about your money and you gave them the framework on how to get more of it. hahaha Is this Bethesda's fault? no it's your fault you let this happen to yourselves now reap the consequences of your actions. This is why it's a good thing company's do not embrace modding they turn out like Bethesda every time and the sad is the modding community never learns instead they will blame the company instead of going on a rant about it I will turn you over to this phrase. "first time shame on you second time shame on me". _________________ "Human Scum!" |
