| Ok, so we all know that Fallout 4 is due for release this winter. With all platforms (to my knowledge) concurrently around the exact same time.
We also know that, a first ever for console ported games, Fallout 4 will allow the usage of custom PC mods.
Bethesda states that they will be pretty liberal in the mod content, and even in one article I read, stated "Feel free to break your console game if you want," because that's part of the Fallout experience... breaking the damn game, then figuring out through trial, error, frustration, and occasionally broken items around one's desk, as to which mod broke the game in order to get it running again. According to Bethesda, about the only thing that will be not allowed (although I am sure someone will figure out a workaround) will be A) copywriten materials, such as models and the sort ported from other games (and HOPEFULLY there will be a workaround, because honestly I love running around the Wasteland in Mjolnir SPARTAN armor, or having a T-800 for a companion), and B) blatantly illegal material (which no need to go into explanation on that).
One thing I have also noticed is that apparently, XBOX One users will also receive a copy of Fallout 3 as well with Fallout 4. So this leaves the question... since we will be able to use PC mods on Fallout 4, any thoughts as to whether or not we will also be able to use PC Mods on Fallout 3 for XBox One?
Just looking for what other people think about this. Bottlecap for your thoughts? _________________ Chris |

| Well I'm not sure how the console users are going to fix their game with that limited control with a controller, and I assume we'll see lots of pissed console users for breaking the game (since they don't have as much experiences as some PC gamers do) like us when we just started modding and breaking our game over and over.
Probably no mods for F3 on XB1 though, they aren't supporting it ain't they? |

| I thought the Fallout 3 copy was for 360? http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/fallout-4 But if it isn't, Fallout 3 won't have Xbox One mod support, plain and simple |

I'm going out on a limb here, but I am assuming there will be a method to disable all mods to help prevent breaking the copy on the console. Worst case scenario, console users will do what we've been doing since the dawn of the Lone Wanderer... uninstalling and reinstalling the game from scratch. - gav07Gaming wrote:

http://www.xbox.com/en-US/games/fallout-4 But if it isn't, Fallout 3 won't have Xbox One mod support, plain and simple I see what you're saying. Granted it'll be a digital copy and therefore download directly to the XB1. I dunno- I don't know how many actual difference the XBox version and PC version of FO3 are to one-another (file structure, etc). Would be interesting if with FO4 we were able to access the file structure of FO3 as well and well, go to town. One thing that may cause a huge problem would be how to get FOSE to work on an XBox. And furthermore, with say, NVE/FOSE (respectively), what happens if a similar workaround has to come into play for FO4.. . would we be able to get, say, FO4SE to run on the XB1 version? So many unknowns (at least to me). _________________ Chris |
