| So, like the title says none of my Fallout 4 mods are working. I've tried with both the Wasteland Workshop enabled and disable. Is there something I'm missing? I made sure all the mods are active so really that can't be the problem. Any advice anyone has is more than welcomed. I just want to get Fallout 4 to work again with all my mods. |

| Your not the only one with this issue I heard that it can be fixed by tweaking your ini in some way. |

| It's probably the (beta)update though I don't know anything about this so it might just be nothing but it happened to me when I updated my game. |

| I think it might be the update. I heard alot of people say the same thing when they updated to the survival beta. Is there anyway to fix this or am I gonna have to wait till Bethesda fixes this? |

| How i fixed mine, is by re-enabling all the mods in the MODS library section in-game of the new update. |

| Yeah, I too think it's due to the new update.
You need to reactivate them by going into 'Mods' on the main menu, then pressing T to bring up the load order. _________________ |

| If you are using nexus mod manager, make sure it updates to the newest version to commentate the 1.5 update. Every time you start your mod mod manager, all of your plug-ins will be disable, and you have to re-enable them all again. If you are using other mod manager, check the solution online as they are provided. |

| So a little update to everyone. Right now I'm updating my Nexus Mod Manager since the old mod manager I used is no longer being developed or worked on. @Archangel470 was right, there is a mod section now on your main menu. I had to sign up for Bethesda.net in order to access it and once I did I reenabled everything. Then it told me the game had to restart so I click okay. The game shut off...and when I turned it back on manually all my mods were back to disabled despite me enabling them a few seconds ago. So....this is F-ing stupid. I know I'm not supposed to curse on this site, so I won't, but really this whole modding situation is being handled poorly by Bethesda. Fallout 3, New Vegas, Oblivion, Skyrim, heck even Morrowind the modding situation was perfect. However it seems to me Bethesda is almost trying to take control of all the mods. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if we find out they are trying to censor mods in the future. So, for now I'm gonna let it go and I'll try again later. Hopefully I'll eventually get my mods to work. If I do I will be sure to tell everyone what I did in case anyone needs the extra help. |

| Delete the "INTERFACE" folder in your Data folder, and then uninstall all UI mods. Sadly, UI mods don't work. For crashing.
If you have Nexus mods that won't activate, then update NMM. Might have to change the setting "Check For Updates On Startup" _________________ |

| I haven't updated to the new Nexus Mod Manager out of fear of it messing everything up because it will uninstall everything and then reinstall it but might not get it right so I have version 0.61.16.
As I'm in the middle of a game and many hours into it I refuse to update NMM. As others found out I had signed up for a beth account and re-enabled all my mods in game. It loaded the assets and everything worked, well mostly, some things weren't quite right but I think the update slightly broke some mods. But the game never turned off. It shouldn't have crashed. So something that loaded conflicted with the new update in your game.
As Yeezus said, UI mods crash the game, if you're using one delete it. |

| Bethesda changed how the plugins.txt file is setup with the 1.5 patch. If you are using mod organizer you can follow the instructions posted in this bug report (https://github.com/TanninOne/modorganizer/issues/663) for a workaround.
Essentially you'll need to download a batch file to reformat the plugins.txt file and after you reactivate every esp file you'll run the batch file. After that you can run the game through the launcher and it will work correctly. Until TanninOne updates the software to the next rev (alpha 5 or beta) you'll need to follow this each time.
I did try re-enabling them from within the mods menu in fo4 before I found this.. Unfortunately the game was still complaining about missing esp's etc.
The batch file might work with the older versions of nmm. it depends on when it writes out to plugins.txt _________________ - KCCO

| Thank You everyone who commented and have been trying to help me out with this problem. I finally fixed the issue. And the answer was very simple....I updated my NMM and done!...I know I should have tried that first, instead of complaining. Well when I first posted this thread I didn't want to update NMM because I heard some questionable things about the latest version, but I gave in and everything turned out fine. Thanks again everyone! |

oh btw.... thanks....ARWCS... You could delete your entire Interface folder and then verify the game on Steam. It will replace any lost vanilla files for you. Like I said just delete the interface folder, go to your steam library, right click Fallout 4 and click on properties, then click on the Local Files tab, then click on Verify Integrity of Game Cache. It will take several minutes, but hopefully that will fix it. I do recommend you back up your Interface Folder before deleting it, just in case. |

| Those of you with Fallout 4 issues shoot me a PM, spent a ton of time helping people on here mostly DVA lol, the EVGA Forums, Steam and the Bethesda Support Forums to get the game up and running. Most issues I have ran into at this point between beta's and helping others.
The fun of the Gamebryo Engine Bethesda is using came out right before Gamebryo Lightspeed "Lightspeed fixed most of the issues with the last engine" But my guess is Bethesda got a deal on the engine license for not being the latest and greatest and didn't cost 350-500k for a royalty free license." Wish they went with Lightspeed but wishing you know...It worked alright with SKYRIM but not so much with Fallout 4 since x64 and DX11 shaders got recompiled back in and it was more or less a pre-build to Lightspeed. _________________ AAA Environment Artist & Modeler, US Army Combat Vet, Full Sail University Alumni |
