| FO3 had a wasteland that felt like there were no safe areas. It felt like it was rare to find a safe haven. FNV, on the other hand, felt much more safer since civilization was getting back together. For me, the safest area in FO3 would have to be Rivet City. The area is on a damn ship, it is guarded to the teeth, you have to cross a bridge to get inside, and oh yeah, it is on a damn ship! Not only that, the place has food, places to rest in, and merchants to trade with. Sounds like a great place to settle down for me. The next safest area for me would have to be either Goodsprings or Novac. Goodsprings is a quiet town that rarely gets into trouble(exceot for Powder Gangers) and is overall a peaceful town. They have homes, a saloon, and a doctor, so overall, pretty safe. Novac, on the other hand, has more of business going on. They have traveling merchants coming from time to time, they have a motel, and they have a pretty steady business going on. |

| Depends, safest or least violent? As long as I don't be clown then NV without a doubt as it's overlooked by House and NCR forces. Most peaceful and safe, then the Oasis from Fallout 3. Never has there been a better reason to role play the life of a hippie. - Spoiler:

| Safest neutral place in New Vegas is gonna have to be Goodsprings since the 2 main factions have no presence there, if you get the A World of Pain mod for it, you can even buy a house there and use it for a base of operation.
Some other good places include Wolfhorn Ranch (although to the east you got Searchlight and Vipers that spawn every now and then, and if you got bad rep with the legion, they'll send assassins in after you to Wolfhorn) and Novac. You can buy a room at the motel in Novac for 100 caps if you got a neutral reputation or you're reputation is above neutral, you can get a room for free.
And of course, the grandaddy of all safe locations in New Vegas, The Lucky 38 presidential suite. _________________ - PC SPECS:

| For FO3 once you disable the nuke, in an unmodded game megaton is pretty safe.. The house isnt anything to write home about but its a good start.. As for (unmodded) FONV i like the room offered by the Garrets. Good central location that you don't need to kowtow to House to get and it offers some storage.. Now if we are talking a modded game, I like Mothership Zeta (with her crew) and the Underground Hideout (available on nexus).. If your playing the Tale of Two Wastelands mod then whatever home you select will work across both... _________________ - KCCO

| I would have to say that in FO3 for me I only played through vanilla and no mods once and did modded from then on, but I think Megaton house was probably the best place, never really liked tenpenny place. For modded FO3 it's a hard choice between Tec Vault and the Underground hideout. I loved Underground Hideout to death, being close to rivet city meaning that I could get it early on in a playthrough, and with all the stuff added in the final versions it made it well worth it. However once I found Tec Vault I spent alot more time there, simply because of how pretty the place was, and also how huge it was. The quest to get it was a bit eh, but it was still awesome. For unmodded New Vegas, I would have to say the Novac Motel was probably the best, I never ever got the Lucky 38 suite, and never wanted it. For modded New Vegas, hands down the Underground Hideout, simply because of how good it was. But I also liked the camper van, as it made it easy to have a base on wheels so to speak, makes it much easier to cart loot around and it made it feel more real. _________________ Writer on the Fallout Intensive Project, which aims to bring the Fallout story to the UK.Bug Tester, Interior Creator, Designer and Decorator on the Frontier Mod |

| For Fallout 3 it's either the Citadel or Rivet City. The Citadel is home to the most highly-trained and well-armed people in the Capital Wasteland and has Liberty Prime in. Rivet City is armed and guarded to the teeth and there's no telling just how much ordinance was left behind on that aircraft carrier that could potentially be used. Megaton was a city built by old shacks and I feel that if a group of raiders wanted to they could easily take over. It's defended by one sniper, a sheriff with an assault rifle, a Raider that MAYBE wouldn't even help defend the place, one robot, and the rest are all carrying pea-shooters. Raven Rock is also a worthy mention but it's lead by an AI that would destroy the whole place because of stupid writing.
In NV probably either Fortification Hill, Hoover Dam, or the Strip. Pretty self-explanatory, all three of these places are guarded by large armies armed to the teeth. In NV, while in Fortification hill you can look into the distance and see hundreds of Legion tents that aren't accessible to the player.
As fare as in-game abilities go, the player can easily go into all of these places and kill everyone, but lore-wise I'm sure that these choices make sense. |

| For fallout 3, I don't know how to choose between Underworld and Rivet City because they are both the safest places in the Wasteland but Rivet City has been control by so many guards and everybody can't cross the bridge since it can be tuck. Furthermore there is around here a lot of raiders mirelurks and super mutants. Underworld can't be afraid by an attack of super mutants and the enclave, the Talon Merc and the Brotherhood of Steel are too busy making war on each other to worry about Underworld. But the only potential threat is Cerberus because if he is reprogrammed he will kill all the ghouls of Underworld.
For fallout New Vegas the safest place is for me the Nellis Air Force Base because the Boomers have installed long-range guns firing as soon as someone gets to close to the base. Also many patrols guard constantly the area and they are armed with heavy weapons. Finally the Boomers are racist and don't take risks to build relationships with other factions. |

| In FNV it would probably be Goodsprings,it has some distance from some major factions and the only problem is the powder gang. Luckily in my game I wiped them out and now Goodsprings is safe and quiet. |

| I feel the safest place in NV is the Botherhood of Steel Bunker, assuming you're on good terms with them.
I'd wager there's enough Soldiers in that Bunker, providing they're all geared up, to take out the thinly stretched forces of the NCR across the Mojave, one Base at a time. _________________ - My YouTube - |

| For Fallout 3 i'd choose The Citadel. Its filled with BoS. For NV i'd say the Lucky 38 since nobody but you is allowed in there _________________ |

| In my opinion the safest place in this town FNV Jacobstown. Lives a community of mutants is quite friendly, which may change during the execution of a quest for the local doctor, if you do not have the appropriate skills. _________________ |
