Hey guys, I know its a bit out, since the GECK hasn't been released yet, but I can't stop thinking about what Naugrim might do with FROST, lore wise. DUST was pretty well known partially for its difficulty and partially for its lore and stories. Obviously nothing is cannon until bethesda says it is, but what are some ideas or things you guys would want explained in FROST? I'll start, personally: I want so see some sort of explanation for the X-01 power armour we see scattered around.

Probably would like to know why it's snowing all the time, ice age 2? or probably some Canadians brought the snow by that time and is likely an experiment/unusual event. Also what would replace the tunneler like creatures in FROST? Surprise us Naugrim.

@BITBUT it's snowing because it's a nuclear winter. Not the meme, depending on where and how, a nuke can cause a snowstorm.

Ahhhh so another set of nuclear bombs were blown?

@BITBUT nope, after the bomb that you see in the beginning of the game goes off, it causes the weather to get all shitty and weird, like acid rain, ash storms, stuff like that. After a year or so a giant winter snowstorm comes in and it is extremely radioactive FROST takes place 5 years after you see the bomb go off.

Guys call me a fool but what is FROST? I know that it is made by the same author of Fallout Dust but what really is FROST?

@VeteranAlpha so I'm assuming you know what DUST is right? So FROST is an upcoming adaptation of DUST for Fallout 4, still lead by naugrim. It's called FROST because the east coast is colder than the west, and it takes place about 5 years after the nuke goes off at the beginning of fallout 4. Because of the nuke, a nuclear winter came around, putting the world into a small ice age. Instead of dust storms and heat, we have to wear warm clothes and protective gear.

Anyways thanks for the explanation, i am kind of excited to see what will happen, a nuclear winter in Boston, that sounds like something fun, maybe there will be a secret snow bomb detonated that the Bos found in an old Army base that will cause the nuclear winter?

@VeteranAlpha Actually it's been explained So in 2077 the nukes go off, 2079 the weather goes crazy due to the nukes and radiation messing with the weather/ozone. FROST takes place in 2082. Nuclear winters are actually standard for modern nukes. If the US dropped a nuke in the middle east, there is a chance it will cause a nuclear winter. If hypothetically a nuke went off on the east coast, it would cause a nuclear winter due to how naturally cold the area is. So no snow bombs required ....yet.
