I've always wanted to run an enb like most of you do, but I've also always had two problems: not only the game is struggling right now at mid settings due to both being flooded with mods and my pc being a laptop (Even if I have everything it exists to boost up the performances, reduce crashes, 4gb patch, etc), but I'm also playing on Win8 which in theory is not really suited for gaming in general.
My question(s) is: is there an enb available that gives the game a prettier look without actually affecting the framerate or, at least, not too much? Also, since I'm on Win8, does someone knows if those enbs actually work on this os?
If it can be of any help, I'm not using mods such as Fellout, Nevada Skies and Electro City cause they indirectly need other mods such as Flashlight NV or Light my Flare to actually see something at night that only boost up my already big load order..

there will always be enbs which arent as much as a performance hog than others and some enbs have light versoins aswell which wont look as good but will still look nice but wont kill your framrate
There are actually a number of ENBs that have optional low/medium presets to minimize the hit on performance.
However, an excellent alternative would be this mod: http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/39619/?
The Imaginator gives a number of surprisingly nice visual options and has nowhere near the loss of FPS that even a 'mild' ENB causes. For a long time I used it on top of ENBs, simply because I liked the options.

I knew about that mod, but didn't think it was so fps friendly. Quickly tried it and wow. Gonna post some screenshots later. Thanks for the help, finally my game doesn't look that shit anymore..

I'm guessing this Imaginator is compatible with enbs? I looked over the mod page and it said it was pretty much compatible with every mod but I'm not sure if an enb counts. Could someone tell me please?

Dynavision 3 should include Imaginator.. i'm not sure why you're not already using Dynavision.. but uhm.. go get it. And i haven't tested them but i think they should work.

I used both Imaginator and an ENB together for many months, yes.

Thanks Tesvixen, I wasn't sure if they were compatible. Going to go give it a try now.
Rudy enb is supposed to be performance friendly but the mod author has stated that it probably won't work with weather mods. Could be worth checking out JeKoCZ.

Also, I believe ENB of the Apoc comes with low, mid, high versions as well. http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/50782/?
This ENB gives a bleak reddish hue of the Mojave. Although personally I prefer brighter colors, this wasn't too shabby either.

I use Eremotherium ENB and you are right about not being as intensive as others. My only problem with it the screen was really bright and kinda foggy looking. I turned off bloom though and it got rid of it.

I don't know, with the Imaginator I feel like I've already found what I was looking for, something light, good and easy to use. I don't understand half the things you can edit inside it, but the fact that is an .esp is better for me cause my folder is already a mess and I can just edit it ingame. Only problem is that numpad shortcuts don't work, I'll see if it's a bug of mine cause I'm pressing + or 0 for 5 minutes and nothign happens..
