What is your opinion on the Unlimited Companions mod. I personally like it because I can have a group of followers to help me on big missions and preying on legionaries. When the pace of the game slows down I can drop a couple and have them wait for me at the lucky 38. It makes the game less difficult but with realistic damage your army of followers can be wiped out in a short while. What do you guys think about the mod? Is it nice to have or does it ruin the game to you?

I used it quite a bit in F3. But then I realized that having a mini army of companions follow me around would cause the game to crash more often.
When I got to NV, I stuck to the companion cap.

It is usually included in my load order. I have a bad habit of not being able to decide who to bring along in my wanderings, and having two or three of my favourite vanilla followers tag along helps mix up the idle and combat chatter up so it does not become irritating too early in the game.

IMO, more than a couple is too much. Not only does it make your game less stable, but they constantly get in the way trying to go through doors and stuff.
I generally limit myself to 2 companions (and often just one, if I'm testing a recent addition). 2 is enough to help for sure, without feeling like you're stuck in a sea of obstacles.

I like the unlimited companion mod, not to use as massive army, but because it lets me have a couple more companions, rather than just 1. I tend to get attached to companion and cant let one go
But if you use a ton, I'm sure it will crash and slow the game down.

I use the JIP companion mod, since it gives the unlimited companion functionality and a lot of other really cool features - including a hud that shows all your companion.
Fortunately for me, the game is fairly stable and the frame rate pretty good up even with eight companions. But it does make the game ridiculously easy, so I limit my self to three at a time. Maybe four if I wanted EDE or Rex to tag along.

I use it, but I rarely have more than 2 companions with me at any given time as I usually use them for screenshots.

I like being able to keep all my companions, and yet, like Tesvixen said, it's also a royal pain when you have to many. I played around a bit with taking as many as possible, and 11 is the limit for stability. 13 will cause a couple of them to get stuck & stop following (or doing anything at all).
That said, you're going to have to type "tcl" in console to get around your mini-army whenever you have to double back into a tight space, or go through a door.
I usually limit myself to 3 or 4 of my favorites, or leave them all sandboxing somewhere.

I have been contemplating to use JIP but I never ended up doing so because mainly I play alone. After receiving the Lonesome Road Perk (increase damage 10% and increase VATS hit chance by 10% when you have no companions), I end up destroying everything. Also I a lot of my buttons are already hotkeyed to something else, so not sure if adding this mod will actually be beneficial.
I have unlimited companions mod, it's pretty simple and works well.

I have used the unlimited mod, but my preference is usually to just have 1, maybe two companions with me. If you are using a mod that has the companions use real ammmo... an army of followers will quickly run through your ammo, trust me, i know lol

I use the unlimited companion mod, but I only bring at most 3 companions with me, any more than that and the game isn't fun.

I am a stealth player, so I usually sneak around and use my sniper rifle as often as possible. This makes the followers kind of useless to me because they actually get in the way of my playstyle. I do however like having several followers for screenshots and things like that.
